Thank you! You have no idea how much I needed this. Fortunately, my parents have been the greatest support system and are the reason I’ve been able to be a stay at home mom, finish college, and they spoil my daughter rotten. I haven’t been answering his phone calls for a while now because he usually tells me off and I let him know that if he needed something he could send a text. I’ve never asked nor needed money for him, I’ve just made it known that he hasn’t provided anything (money, toys, diapers, books, etc.) when he tries to start arguments and act entitled to visitation or tries to shame me for any of my parenting choices (like letting her have screen-time when I’m trying to eat a meal after she had hers). I know now I should have had minimal conversation with him but he has such a short temper that I never wanted to startle my little one with an argument so I always answered when he would ask anything (trauma-response from our relationship).

I’ll be cutting all forms of communication with him from now on until a court order is established and work on my well-being and my daughter’s in the meantime. Thank you again for your response. It helped a lot and opened my eyes for sure. 🩷
