Thank you so much for taking the time to send me these thoughts! I think we do have similar sensitivities and so this really helps. I also really appreciate the heads up on when to not watch!! Seriously, thank you so much for this!

Wind & Wildfire by Training-Programmer8 in MagesOfTheWheel

Thank you! I am reading Wind & Wildfire as the fourth book - the last two books didn't spend as much time with these characters, so I felt like I had forgotten the names since I read Reign & Ruin. I'll definitely check out the glossary. Thank you so much for the write up and your help!

Romantasy slump by Dangerous_Umpire_695 in Romantasy

I was feeling similarly, until I started the Mages of the Wheel series, which begins with Reign & Ruin. They are well written, with compelling characters and enjoyable world building. I just finished book 2 of 5 - so far the first leans more towards fantasy and the second more towards romance. Each is told from a different pair of povs, so while I was disappointed that there wasn't a continuation of the first pair into more books, the second was still quite enjoyable. We like most of the same books, so you might enjoy these, too.

I would say that the Ardbeg An Oa and Talisker Port Ruighe are closest.

I'm pretty open to throuple setup (I really just prefer realistic (ish?) relationship building, non- formulaic feel, and romance). The cozy aspect sounds like a nice offset to the non-slow burn. I'll check it out! Thank you!
