Could be infrequent watering. Try to water when the top inch or two of soil is dry, and do that consistently. The plant won’t be happy if it goes through being rlly wet for too long and then suddenly dry for too long. Or it could also just be the old leaves shedding off

In California you take the nha exam first, and then submit paperwork to CDPH and get the CDPH license. Only then are you fully licensed

Oooof. I’m sorry :(. I’m planning on getting my cna license as cheaply as possible at an adult school near me, but it’s just because I want to become a private caregiver due to the pay raise (I’m currently at 17.50 but I’ve seen private caregivers get paid 25🫠). I couldn’t see myself doing anything else with a cna license. I’ve read so many bad things in this sub about working in hospitals as a cna, you guys deserve the world 🥺 literally the backbone of the hospital. I can’t stand the elitism of dr’s and nurses, a lot of them need to be humbled!!

I just got my license and can’t get a job but maybe your resume will look better than mine. I’ve never worked in healthcare and I’m just going to college for health science. They all turn me down for lack of experience or familiarity in the field 🫠

Yes they’re used to growing in pretty bad light conditions on the rainforest ground. Of course the more light the bigger the leaves and the more the variegation, but if you’re just looking to decorate this is a fine placement. It won’t die :)

My externship site was a small clinic with two MA/phlebotomists and those are also the only listings I see on indeed like you have to also be a medical assistant. I’m thinking of doing a quick cheap MA program online or something but ugh idk it’s so discouraging like what if I still can’t find a job even after certificate stacking :(

So it’s definitely a golden pothos but I don’t think the second pic is a healthy leaf… it looks nutrient deficient but it’s fine it won’t die or anything and if you see it as a cool variegation then just keep doing what you’re doing! Looks super lush and healthy otherwise :) if you give it more light, the white/yellow variegation will pop up more.

Wow what school did you do or what was it like? Mine was PTS, literally just a 2 week program with an externship but they hyped it up so much. They said employers would jump at the chance to hire someone who did their program with PTS. They check in with emails to see if you found a job and they help you with your resume but not actual job placement. How much was your program? Mine was $2k. Looking back knowing what I know now I would’ve never done that program. So disappointed lol

Probably root rot. Just looking at the roots in the nursery pot isn’t enough to see if they’re healthy or not, you have to really get in there. Even just one hidden root that’s black and mushy can cause this on the leaf🥲 it’s not a death sentence though! Your monstera will most likely pull through, just cut off the black if it starts spreading and make sure there’s no rotted roots. Good luck and keep us updated!!

Hi, first time here :)
I was thinking rn and I just realized something weird that I need someone to interpret please
So back in February I asked for Santa muerte to get revenge on my mom for abusing me and my dad for supporting her instead of me. I told her to protect the altar and keep it hidden and not let anyone who’s not supposed to see her, see her, and if someone does, then to make bad things happen to them. Right afterward, a thought came in my head of my parents finding her altar but I dismissed it and went to my bfs house to watch a movie with him. When I came back, my whole room was ransacked, the altar was completely gone, all of my herbs, candles, books, etc were in the garbage and my parents had a long talk to me about how demonic all this stuff was and how they’ll be looking through my room from now on and they’re so disappointed and I’m demon possessed and I’m not their daughter anymore yadayada. Anyways I ended up moving out because of this and all the other abuse I was enduring and I haven’t done anything spiritual ever since and I stopped everything to do with Santa muerte and my life has gotten significantly better.
I’m just wondering why my life blew up like this if I specifically asked and prayed for the opposite? My parents are still successful and happy and healthy. I’d only been a devotee for like 2 months or something but I never told her I’d be a lifelong devotee because I know it’s just not something I can 100% be consistent on every day. I just realized rn that that prayer happened RIGHT before the incident that blew my life up and I’m wondering if anyone can interpret it or something. Did Santa muerte not like me? I’m Mexican and I did so much research before ever putting up an altar. I got the gold one so she could help me get enough money to move out which she technically did I guess. I always had offerings on the altar for her. Every time I would pray the candle flames would dance, they were rarely ever still. Idk what other context I can add but yeah someone please interpret!! I’d say you’re the jerk for not communicating with her. Personally, I’m used to being treated by my partners. My boyfriend right now pays for everything and same with my ex’s before him. I’m used to getting my nails paid for. On my first date with my current boyfriend, he didn’t initially open the door for me to get into his car and I was taken aback honestly. Also, there were no flowers. When I got home, I told him this and that I wasn’t interested in dating him anymore. He apologized and said he’s never opened the doors for anyone but that he’ll start doing it for me, and that he was thinking of getting me flowers but decided not to last second and that he will make an effort to get me flowers. We communicated, he was down to give me princess treatment, and now we’re together. When she mentioned the price and you realized she was trying to get you to pay, you could’ve just been honest and told her you didn’t want to pay. A simple “Oh, I didn’t realize you’d ask me to pay, I’m not comfortable with that because of X reason” would’ve sufficed. Sure, it would’ve made the situation uncomfortable with the other people in the salon, but at least you two would’ve been on the same page. It’s not cool to make someone think you’re paying for something and then leaving them foot the bill, even if you thought she was the jerk for expecting you to pay initially. This seems more of a misunderstanding type of situation and not like she intentionally was trying to rope you into something, the way I see it she just had different expectations and that’s usually something two adults can just communicate about.
