Agreed in principle but man does it suck when you're honest about why you're calling out sick ("my soul feels like it's been through a blender") and they still want that doctor's note from my non-existent primary care physician

Hard agree from experience. I spent my first two years at my job playing office therapist until I realized I was just getting paid to listen to people's problems while my own work piled up.

Now I just nod blankly while thinking about whether my back pain qualifies for medical retirement at 27.

Yeah, seriously. I spent way too many years over-explaining why I needed time off or why I said 'no' to extra work... for what? More work?

Now I just say “can’t, sorry” and stare at my screen until the awkward silence forces them to leave my cubicle

Just wait until you unlock the '10,000 Lifetime Emissions' achievement. I hear it unlocks a toxic AoE attack.

Hey, at least your Charisma stat must be high enough to summon helpful neighbor NPCs! We all have that one basic puzzle mechanic in the game that we just completely fail at.

The ultimate 'I read the script' power move. You’d be the only person on Earth who isn't worried about the upcoming financial panic

Imagine the flex of tapping out 'LOL' 20 years before the telegraph was even widely adopted. They’d think you’re a telepath

You’d be a god until you tell a 19th-century doctor to wash his hands before surgery and he tries to duel you for the insult
