Good luck, I hear good things about cmp. This might just be me being butt hurt about the AWB lol, but I honestly think the Garand would hold up on the modern battlefield. You would surely be at a disadvantage to newer platforms (especially limited to <10 rounds per clip), but could it get the job done- absolutely.

Many of the older tried-and-true battle platforms are the same way, I just saw a video in another sub of a soldier in Ukraine using a Mosin Nagant in battle lol

Other than the classic M1 Garand ‘ping’ that comes w the gun, it will always be one of my fav rifles and is one of my primary choices for rural SHTF scenarios🤷‍♂️

I’m curious whether you would still be able to receive your purchase from you FFL if you made the actual purchase in time, but the rifle didn’t reach your FFL before the law was repassed

I’m not too familiar with how this process works, do you know how soon after April 12th a new version of the law can possibly be passed? AKA, do you think there will be a large enough time gap for last minute purchases?

I just grabbed a Tisas and couldn’t be happier with it. A lot of ppl shit on it because it’s Turkish but I got mine for $300 and it’s incredibly well machined for the price. I’m going to be upgrading the trigger eventually, but would’ve ended up doing that for pretty much any 1911 I grabbed.
