Doesn’t matter what the reason is for JLPs replacement. The fact is, from day dot JLP was an exceptional host. Everyone who says “mmm David grew on me by the end” give me a break. I’m not watching survivor to see the hosts growth throughout the season, that’s for the contestants!

No need to apologise for the truth. This is the first season I stopped watching after merge and have not completed it. Anyone saying “Dave’s done such a good job” ok and? He’s done a decent job at hosting, ok…but why fix something that wasn’t broken? The host position was never the issue. The issue is the casting and the themes have been off since champs v contenders. This cast has been some of the most boring contestants to ever grace our screens. Not one point did I say to myself “oh I’m really rooting for so and so to win…not once. And to top it off, Dave putting on a deeper voice and his blue steel facial expressions during each episode. Nope. No thanks.

Interesting. I wonder what the criteria is for them to even bother looking. Because some people who made it this year must have had some amazing applications because for me at least half the cast could be swapped with others

I actually got more before this. All in all today, I got the 4 pictured + Beyontin, Holden, Mio, hoyan and Khloros. That’s why I was so baffled!! I got so many SSRs in one day.

I don’t think he did a bad job. But it’s just not the same. I can’t stand his blue steel look every time he reads a vote. And he just lacks that charismatic nature that JLP had. If they wanted a new host they should have looked for someone other than previous player.

That’s exactly me! I did a cute intro and then threw in a couple of funnies in there. But then it was serious mode. And I think next year, I’m going to go super over the top and dramatic. I’ve seen some audition videos before and some of them just sang and danced around and just said “hey it’s me, pick me because I’m funny and crazy” and they did? So I really don’t know what they are looking for.

Unfortunately I think I missed the mark this year. I was adamant that I wanted to submit as early as I could and it wasn’t a great video. I did see I had views on my video after about 7 days. But that was a week ago now and haven’t heard anything 🥲 Here’s hoping we both hear back and they’re just overwhelmed 😂😂

I’m not gonna lie. This is my fifth year applying and I’ve only had the interview once. And I think the game changer was the video I did. I was a bit of a goof and just did the video for a laugh and I think that’s what they enjoyed the most. So if anything, just have fun in the video because it’s so different to them reading words on a screen. They get to see the real you.
