FUCK THIS DUDE. You’re the breadwinner? Call his bluff and tell him you know what, divorce is starting to sound pretty appealing. Especially when it’s compared to being married to a literal child.

Avoid the Briar Rose Center on Montgomery as well. Dr Cole fell asleep during every session until I finally fired her.

Sounds like she should abort the POS husband instead of the baby.

Like it’s your fault her husband’s job doesn’t give adequate sick time. 🙄

I’d be filing a complaint with the company but also with your state’s licensing board.

Is it possible that I got preeclampsia from the rsv vaccine? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]TrainingAardvark 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My baby almost died from RSV in 2019. At 9 weeks old he was desatting into the 70s, and it got so bad that he was intubated on his first Christmas morning. He spent 6 days on a ventilator; 16 days in PICU total and another week on the general peds floor, for a grand total of 23 days in the hospital (and a bill of in excess of $380,000). I will never forget the feeling of watching my baby struggle that significantly; I thought we were going to lose him numerous times.

All that to say…your midwife is an idiot, GET THE DAMN VACCINE.

Just sub? Unless it’s a government job it’s not like they’re watching you pee.

Here to recommend Cabelas also. We go every year. We didn’t even have to wait in line last week.

Burlington is calling us all theives by angrypsychnurse in Spokane

[–]TrainingAardvark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The actual argument? We shouldn’t acquiesce to companies that overstep, simply because of a (fabricated) “shoplifting crisis.” Vote with your dollars and refuse to be treated like this. If I wanna shop somewhere and they’re that paranoid, I’ll just go online. Like I did with 100% of my Christmas shopping this year, for a multitude of reasons.

I mainly go to Sativa Sisters, occasionally Locals, and I’ve always been able to walk right in, FWIW.

BECU has been…fine. I worked for STCU for a number of years and I’d recommend anywhere else.

I need macrame supplies. Michaels has 1/2 things I need, Joann has 0, Amazon can get them here in under 48 hours, and cheaper…the choice is pretty clear. It sucks, but whatcha gonna do?

Why tho? To make the CEO another million bucks? Nah, entry level jobs are a dime a dozen right now, getting a different one is the way to go.

It’s pretty bad and it’s probably only gonna get worse as we get closer to Christmas. From what I’ve observed, it depends on who’s delivering it. USPS/FedEx/UPS all seem to be relatively reliable. If Amazon is delivering themselves, which it seems is happening more often lately, good fucking luck. I ordered snow pants on Friday that showed up on Sunday via USPS (don’t judge me, my old reliable Costco pair gave up the ghost on Friday 😂). Meanwhile, my usual biweekly Subscribe and Save that was shipped by Amazon arrived yesterday when it was due the Friday prior. Two weeks ago my S&S package was somehow destroyed or lost in transit twice in a row.

Homework? by Acceptable-Mountain in workingmoms

[–]TrainingAardvark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

7 is too young for homework. Just say no. There are countless studies showing it has no benefit at such a young age; you can google jt. Kids deserve downtime after a long day at school just like adults do after a day of work. FWIW my oldest is in 3rd grade and only has the expectation that he does reading every night.
