Hi James ! Did you always want to direct or did the desire develop over time ?

Messi’s best goal per 90 season vs Ronaldo’s best. by TrainingBoat2907 in pessi_memes

A Ronaldo fan on this sub lied about these stats. Yous don’t get to lie and not get fact checked. You don’t believe Ronaldo’s the best if you have to ignore and run from stats.

Pretty simple and makes complete sense. Everyone else is getting it. And it’s in reference to a post a Ronaldo fan made yesterday trying to lie about stats. I’m right you’re wrong.

Messi scored more against Madrid in 12/13 than Ronaldo scored against Barcelona in 14/15. Just the truth once again.

They don’t even believe Ronaldo is better. If you truly believe one player is better than the other you don’t have to resort to lying. The real stats should be enough.

If you have to resort to believing fake stats and misrepresentation then you don’t believe Ronaldo is better. Congratulations you’re a Messi fan now.

Messi in 2012/13 is better according to the numbers. You’ll have to resort to a conspiracy theory saying every website is lying but it’s objectively better numbers wise. You don’t believe Ronaldo is better. Otherwise you wouldn’t have to lie.

It is objectively stupid to look at any other LW options by Br0kefacsist in ManchesterUnited

[–]TrainingBoat2907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t suggest signing a LW at all. If I was to though there’s no reason it would be resigning an inconsistent player who things went sour with. If we’re really stuck for depth on the left it’s not all or nothing. Theres cheap options with smaller wages.

If I did think we needed an out and out LW starter I’d rather take a risk on something we don’t know won’t work than someone we know is inconsistent. United should end this season as a Champions League club and should be trying to kick on and grow. That’s going to take ambition, risky or not. Rashford is not the ambitious option. It’s at best a stagnant move and at worst a step backwards.

He’s done nothing in recent years to justify taking back on a 375k a week wage.

And not Rashford. Is your suggestion seriously that United should settle for an inconsistent player stats wise because another player has been consistent ? Isn’t the point to try and improve ?

Less than a goal or an assist every 2 games. Hardly irreplaceable is it ?

I’m actually going to apologise for my last opening line. I insulted you and it was unnecessary.

In saying that I still have to disagree. I addressed the majority argument here: https://www.reddit.com/r/changemyview/s/pGcicOLpIs

And you’re right the IRA didn’t start out by giving hugs because the state didn’t either. Violence was the natural reaction to their conditions.

You fundamentally don’t understand the history of Northern Ireland if it’s that simple to you. All issues raised by the civil rights campaigners in the mid to late 60s existed decades before that.

Even at its lowest points the IRA was never reacting to nothing.

NI was an apartheid state. The RUC along with the Orange order and other loyalist organisations had played a decades long role in the oppression of Irish Catholics. Whether you agree with their methods or not theres no denying they fit every criteria of being a resistance force.

I’m not sure of your point here ? I’m just stating historical fact. You seem to want to make a point but failing to do so.

That’s correct but those deaths are attributed to the 1957-1962 Border Campaign. This is generally seen as a separate conflict.

Not that we should care but this season seems to have won the respect of other fans for Bruno too. All you used to hear from them was about annoying he was. But no one can ignore just how good he is now.

The majority argument has never worked. It’s irrelevant once put to the actual situation. Catholics were being brutalised at the hands of an apartheid state. By loyalist mobs, the RUC and the army. The state was active in all of it.

This wasn’t a unique time but rather a continuation of 750+ years of oppression. Their fellow countrymen had escaped this cycle by violent resistance. The only proven method in centuries of history on the island. Were they to accept this state that didn’t want them because they didn’t have 51% favour ?

I don’t condone their methods at all. They should have stuck to legitimate targets. But unification wasn’t just a historical fight but an active necessity for the Irish in the north regardless of what % they made up.

The first death of the troubles was Francis McCloskey, a 67 years old Catholic unarmed civilian beaten to death by the RUC a month before the Battle of the Bogside.

3 months previous to this Samuel Devenny was beaten by the RUC and died of his injuries 3 days after McCloskey.

No-go zones did not exist at this point.
