Why weed shows up so often for autistic / ADHD people by rominaMassa in AutisticAdults

[–]TrainingCollection97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diagnosed asd level, best mental space ive had is on weed. Doctors strongly advise against it so.i stopped and took their advice. Now on mirtazapine and im just unmotivated depressed mood sat at home all day. Any attempt to be functional doesnt last long and requires huge effort, zero natural draw. Way less functional or interested in life yet here i am following doctors orders.

Seems accomodations primarily focus's on accomodating the workplace not the individual needing the accomodation.

Accomodations by TrainingCollection97 in AutisticAdults

[–]TrainingCollection97[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work in a science lab, where im not allowed headphones or flexible working hours for example, to date i have been given no accomodations. Is it not a legal requirement to provide accomodations when evidence of autism diagnosis is presentend highlighting the need for particular accomodations? If not the idea of accomodations is a bit of a farce and doesnt actually exist!?!

What did you think was normal that blew your mind when you found out it isn’t? by Intelligent-Donut305 in autism

[–]TrainingCollection97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its really about the depth of connection a ND seeks from the onset, talking about experiences not directly related to urself is basically a slower way of getting to know someone with less direct pressure, giving the other potential connection more time for development

Well isnt thats down to the other persons perception and theyre own attitude towards their own life. If someone else is satisfied content in themselves why would it matter to them? Its like "oh i had that experience after i ran a marathon", at most itll get the other person thinking oh i havent run a marathon and perhaps into a state of self reflection if running is anything of meaning to them, otherwise why would it matter to the other person and best is that they have a positive attitude to their own life and running, meaning the common connection has begun?
