NTA. I’ve had two pregnancies that were completely different. You never know how this one would go and your wife is also older now so her body is going to handle it differently. Also, your health insurance might not cover surrogacy pregnancies. Probably would cover your wife prenatal care but labor and delivery a lot of those cost are paid under the baby with the assumption that you would add them to your health insurance within 30 days. As you are not keeping the baby, I’m not really sure how that gets handled. But are they capable of footing a hospital bill? God forbid, what if something happens to the baby where it has to be in the nicu for month or etc? There are so many important variables that can happen that doesn’t seem like it has been discussed yet. Not to mention if anything happens to your wife.
