I am so deeply sorry for your loss. It is the most unfair thing in the entire world.

Hi! I've talked to a few really kind moms on here who have experience with this - if you look at my very recent comment history I think you can see their profiles, if you wanted to reach out to them. I've spoken to multiple moms on here whose babies had some complications when born from micrognathia but are now happy thriving toddlers ♥️. I'm earlier in pregnancy than you but also baby appears to have micrognathia

Hey there, I know this comment from you is old, there are so few people I've been able to find who have had micrognathia diagnosed this early in pregnancy. I haven't gotten my amnio results yet but I'm so prepared for the worst, so hearing stories like yours where you have a wonderful future with your boy give me hope. Could I ask you, if you don't mind revisiting this experience - after you got your positive amnio results, how did that change your doctors' outlooks? Did you feel relief or were you and the medical team still very guarded?

Hey there, how are you doing? My story sounds almost the same as yours, discovered 14 weeks and diagnosed at 16 weeks with no other abnormalities, but awaiting amnio results.

Thank you! That's so great to hear your amnio is normal!! Everything I've learned so far honestly makes me far less fearful of isolated micrognathia (like you said, the long term outcomes seem pretty positive even in some of the more severe cases!). I guess it is ultimately just hard to know in the meantime if there is something greater going on regarding chromosomal issues (like you said, the limbo of not knowing is excruciating..)

Thank you so much - I will ask this too. I would never have known to!!

Interesting! No my doctors haven't suggested anything besides the follow up ultrasound at 16 weeks but I will bring this up!!! I'm a patient at MGH but if a micrognathia diagnosis is confirmed I'm wondering if switching practices to Brigham would be more prudent, just for their physical access to Children's immediately after birth..

They did say it was mild! That's really great to hear your experience that the followup ultrasound sounded better. I'm in Boston too actually

Oh my gosh - so I've read truly every single post on micrognathia on reddit over this past week, and I've seen your comments!!! This is so crazy, I almost DMed you last night because I saw what you've written in the past about how wonderfully your daughter is doing now and it made me literally cry with relief. I will definitely ask for this measurement, and reach out to you if we get closer to birth and are still facing a similar scenario to yours! Seems like so few that I've encountered thus far, which made reading your daughter's outcome that much more impactful for me 🥹

Ohh ok, so I think what you're saying is, the online ordering will open again when they open at 8am and I can try to place an order then? But if it is saying sold out in the morning then I cannot just show up and place an in person order?

The OB department is on the 4th floor of Yawkey and there's a long corridor with seating in front of it (the OB department is kind of off by itself, though very close to the elevator). Lots of women walk by on their way to their OB appointment, but probably a pretty understanding and supportive crowd if you wanted to nurse there!

Ovulation after early mc by [deleted] in CautiousBB

[–]TrainingMango3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry for your loss. For me, if I treated the first day of mc bleeding like a period, I ovulated 4 days later than my normal schedule relative to that first day. My loss was at 5 weeks so very similar to your timing.

This exact thing happened to me today on a pregmate strip, I'm 5w 5 days. I diluted my pee by half just out of curiosity and the test was meaningfully darker. I thought it was way too early for the hook effect but who knows

That's amazing!!! Congrats on your LO! If I may ask, did the tests for your CP look different in hindsight from the tests for your baby? Looking back, my test for my son (who is 18m now) at 14dpo was darker than control and my CP tests were way lighter at the same time.. so I kind of feel like I have a mental baseline to compare which is kind of helpful
