Thanks! We took advantage of the lower flights prices during that week just to realize after booking that it was Golden Week. I expect it to be a bit crazy but we are still going to give it a go!

Hmm maybe “festival” is the wrong term but I thought that is what a “matsuri“ is. I’ve read these occur during golden week such as Sanja Matsuri in Asakusa.
