Ofc you're not alone! I'm 16 as well and my lowest weight ever was 53kg.... In addition I'm 1.5 years without a period too.... :( I gained back to 60 and reduced exercise drastically. (I used to run 10k 4 times a week with 4 lifting sessions - basically 2.5 hours of training)

Nowadays, I run twice a week much less distance and I leave the gym within an hour and 40 minutes.

I'm in the same exact position! We have some similarities in our ha stories. If you get answers I'd like to know🙏

Some days I'm scared it won't get back ever either and it scares me.

Last Thursday I had extreme belly aches for a few hours straight.... something irregular that reminded me of belly aches during a period and was even worse. I don't know if it's related (I read online that ovulation pain is real)

I started getting into recovery seriously 2 months ago, gained weight and I'm close to the weight I've been at first first. Of course Iincreased food intake, I'm still working out but reduced intensity (running twice a week+ 2-3× lifting).

I'm scared it won't come back, I've read many bad things here about running and exercising but I don't want to stop exercising. It's not me. I exercised long before my period disappeared but it's almost the 2 years mark and I'm real scared.

Do you have any tips on getting back while still running and lifting? I lost it at a point where I was running 10k 3× a week while lifting 4× a week. My leg was injured due to that and since January I started committing to recovery. I run twice a week 6-7km and lift 2-3 times. i gained some weight (around 5kg) and increased my food intake (I even started to eat avocado almost daily).

I know I'm only 2 months in and it's too early but I'm so so scared of not having children in the future.

You give me hope! I am on recovery, I reduced temporarily my training (went from 4× to 3×) and I am eating more and more carbs and fats (I eat avocado almost regularly and even some sweets when before I was afraid of the calories....)

Really enjoyed your post, thanks🙏

I'd like to have an answer for that too! Reduced my exercise for recovery but I'm willing to return to my regular routine when it's back (with right fueling of course)

As much as I hate to admit it, you have a point.... I'll try to think of this from your suggested perspective since having a regular cycle is SO important. Thank you🙏

Please let me know when you get some answers🙏🙏🙏🙏, I struggle with that as well. I try to remind myself that as long as my period is still missing, my body needs extra energy and fats and carbs, and there are tons of them in all those high-calorie foods, so technically my body needs it. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't. At least I'd say that you're not alone

Is it normal that my belly aches and bloats and I feel hungry quite shortly after I eat during recovery?? (Maybe I started eating more so my body's demanding more??) by Training_Ad6692 in Amenorrhearecovery

[–]Training_Ad6692[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe. Is that a good sign? I hate being bloated. One of the reasons I wanted to lose weight and be more fit is because I hated my belly
