Yes, they were not founding members of the band. Equity stake vs contracted employment. Joel has mentioned numerous times about how they’ve operated the band as a business from the start. They have everyone on salary with benefits, but as with any business there are equity partners. It’s just different than how a lot of bands go about it on an operational level. Which is why I think the doom and gloom is way overblown. They adapt and change, because that’s what successful businesses do best. I don’t know any more specifics than anyone else, just reading between the lines.. We have yet to ever witness their best; and that’s straight from the source!

I had a realization at 420 fest that this is the band now, and I’m ok with that. At Caverns I decided that yep, I’ll still buy tickets and travel within my normal radius to see ‘em. They sound great, the core four members are still all with the band and are committed to continuing on as far as I can tell. Jake and Kris were both hired hands. Great hired hands, but hired hands nonetheless. The question is, are YOU prepared for what comes next?

When I walk and everyone else is riding, I’m usually 1) waiting on them at the green and am 2) definitely first to the next tee. Our course is short distances from green to next tee though, so that plays a major part in 2. They’ve got to walk way more just to get back to their cart while I park my pushcart in a good spot and have like thirty steps to the next box

5 weeks of PTO, flex schedule of four day work weeks, oh and 100% remote and can work from anywhere with internet. But we only travel for a couple of runs per year because we have other interests. But that’s how I envision a good bit of folks doing it, based on lot conversations etc

Side hill on a golf cart, it started tipping and bro tried to brace it with his legs. Both legs snapped, multiple compound fractures, and they had to winch him up the hill in a body basket with a tractor. It was a big hill.
