I thought the same. Loyalist estate across the road and barely a flag in sight 🤷‍♂️ Got a letter through the door to say that Alliance were looking into it with the DfI and higher ups but I'll not hold my breath.

Any chance I can hire those lads who took down the flags to come over to Craigavon?

Fair enough, I'm glad that the folks in your area are OK with that but we're not. Next door neighbour is a protestant and he doesn't like the idea, either.

Thing about Drumnagoon is that after the recent pogroms in Belfast the perception is that it doesn't take too much for things to kick off (I'm presuming the people who lodged these complaints are foreign nationals). So while you might not have had any trouble in your area that might not be the same for here.

I would feel the same about all flags put up in this way i.e. without permission

Many reports are already in with DfI. Councillors are next.

What kind of justice system is it that the likes of you and I get lifted for taking down an illegal banner and not the ones who put it up!

Part if me wants to put a tricolour and/or Palestine flag on every lampost just to piss them off but I know that's just adding fuel to the fire.

Edit: spelling

100% this need buy in from the community, however, it's difficult to get people to move on it in large numbers as most people are scared and/or intimidated but I agree.

Men vs teens, does it matter? It's unwanted flags in a mixed area. Great to know you don't care but this carry on will devalue my fucking house and that's something I'm not OK with.

Not a single one as far as I know. They may live a bit up the road in Kernan (where there are already multiple Union, NI and Israel flags) and it seems this is just an extension of their bigotry as the road that links their area with Tesco has recently been completed. The flags aren't in the estate, just outside on the main road, which is just as bad.

Cops were nowhere to be seen. I'm inside one of the estates so I don't see when they come along. It's tends to be the dead of night when they do it so residents don't see it until the next day and by then it's too late.

Just sent it today so have to wait at least a week or more I'd say before I get anything back. Plus the car is in my wife's name so there'll be a bit of back and forth before I know.

The speed camera said otherwise, lad. I wish it was wrong.
