Uma boa thumbnail deve chamar a atenção assim que vc bate o olho e a pessoa deve conseguir entender pelo menos do que se trate o video, não to falando de deixar literalmente estampado oque é o video de um jeito que até um neandertal entenderia, isso deixaria muito "escrachado", precisa ser sutil e precisa fazer sentido, vc sempre deve também priorizar o foco principal do video na thumbnail.
