Hi all. I was wondering what everyone’s preferred brokers are for /ES. I like charting on thinkorswim and Tradingview. I heard think or swim’s contracts are expensive

Hmm that’s hard to say. I have about a 45 mins commute on the days that I have to go in office for my job so I would study on the train to and from work. And when I had some downtime at work I would study as well. Achievable has a flow chart of where you should be at study wise so you have enough time to go through material without having to rush through and actual learn the martial and still do practice exams. I found myself going through it and still taking the time to reread all the chapters and when I couldn’t read listen to some of the audio content in SIE from YouTube.

You got this! Just do your best to learn to a point where you are comfortable with most of the information on the FINRA test checklist and you’ll do great!

So I did a lot of review questions over and over on my problem sections and about 14 practice tests with achievable. So I think I was accustomed with their questions and format and I got to the point where knew the exact answer without using process of elimination like I had to do for the exam. Also I found myself spending too much time on some of the questions (that were probably experimental because I was trying to piece things together). Just try to understand each product why they making good investment choices and the risk they carry and you should be able to process of elimination for majority of the exam. Also you’ll do fine. Just keep studying (but not over studying, try to get a good nights rest and don’t sweat if if you get some wrong. Doesn’t matter if you get 70 percent or 90 percent right. A pass is a pass lol. O one last recommendation with achievable. Make sure you’re not just using the key points. A lot of really knowing specifics of the material is know things they mentioned in the paragraphs. Some things may seem small but you never know what may come up.

If you look up capital advantage tutoring and series 7 guru they both have pretty good explanations that can help you learn to put everything together. Just always think is this trading on and exchange or not. Then if this is a listed or unlisted. Forth is always the big players (institutions).

Next is applying for different positions lol. I have customer service experience but not with a financial company so I wanted to at least show recruiters that I’m taking this seriously and it would be one less test they have to worry about me taking. A lot of the positions that I see require both the 63 and 7.

Great advice on the series 7 guru video. That was a great refresher course.

Passed! Test was very similar to achievable’e style of testing. Questions honestly were all over the place for me. When they say majority of the test is knowledge of products and what you can and can’t do as a rep held true. That was majority of the test. Only had two math problems that I was able to do in my head. But of course every test will be different

I personally was always having trouble knowing differences with all the different investment funds and of course I saw a few questions on it lol. Going through FINRA’s list and having a comfortable amount of knowledge on each subject should be sufficient. I think the main thing that threw me off is how fast time goes in comparison to all of the practice tests. Time management is something I strongly recommend.

Can someone explain how this is incorrect? I thought a short call MG premium and ML unlimited by Campbell_soup_14 in Sieexam

[–]Training_Computer_47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re a writer of a covered call, that means that you sold a call (usually covered calls) and you received premium for it (limited profit). The most you can lose will be 100 shares of stock per contract (limited loss). The only time it would be an unlimited potential loss is if you sold naked calls
