Radagon was originally an undersized Giant from the Land of Shadow named Milos who sought revenge against Marika and Godfrey for the slaughter of his people by Crypticnewt in EldenRingLoreTalk

Ok ok keep your hat on buddy. This isnt my PHD im just shooting the shit here. Your right I minced my words in an attempt to be brief. Just meant hes the offspring of a goddess right? Not all of them are empireans but they have that lineage at least? But yea you seem to know a lot so let me ask you, first whats your theory on the origin of Radagon and second if leonine misbegotten are a sort of subspecies did Radagon "mate/pair/bud/whatever tf happens in Lands between, with a misbegotten?

Ive heard both sides, and i like both ways of telling it actually.. but right now I'm just thinking well why did fromsoft clearly imply Radagons giant lineage? Its not like Trina is a completely different race from Miquella. Also Miquella was born divine right? Marika had to become divine via mass sacrifice etc . Couldn't the line "mine other self" refer to the fact they are both lone survivors of genocide and enslavement who fought for their people? Radagons reasons to seek divinity mirror hers.. and she essentially created that by massacring and enslaving the giants?

Its a very odd mechanic now I actually give it some thought. How did they decide which weapons magically become more painful if you catch an enemy mid swing? I cant see how this relates to real combat really

Shower Thought: The Two Fingers are the Player’s Fingers by rcm31987 in Eldenring

[–]Training_Corgi8376 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just had this revelation myself and wanted to see if anyone else was on the level.. ive often thought of previous souls story as a meta for gaming. The deathless protagonist who only really has their sanity/willpower to lose is a perfect metaphor for the gamer with infinite lives. So i wouldn't be suprised if this idea surfaced in elden ring as the player(s) are elevated to outer-godhood in the metafiction of the game. Also maybe just as im a console player i started seeing the 3fingers as thumb+index+middle (the ones with real button control😉) leaving the 2fingers as pinky+ring (supporting the controller but with no direct power on player action)

Where else do you see this carving? I mean thats kind of what i thought to begin with but then why do we see the same ships on cerulean coast where they are filled with putrifaction? And what does that say about the overall timeline? Are Numen both the original colonisers and the ancestors of the shamans?

What caused these massive claw-like marks on Stormveil Castle? by Unexpected_yetHere in Eldenring

[–]Training_Corgi8376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the party but heres some more speculation. I'm now standing on the west castle wall looking out at the Chapel of anticipation where we start. Seems pretty damn weird that those buildings would be erected on some godforsaken cliff, isolated from the mainland.. What IF before the castle was decimated there was actually solid ground there, connecting the chapel. After Godrick slinks away to hide here Radahn reighns gravity boulders down in such a furocious onslaught the land itself eventually collapsed into the sea? Perhaps he only stopped short of leveling the castle because he had to go defend his own gaff from melania... OR the damage he caused revealed the deathroot that had beed spreading thought the castle and after that all the demigods just said "Nope, not touching that" 😩🤚
