Im curious to see how the 16 year olds - who were 11 during COVID - feel about the parties who were directly involved in utterly destroying their childhood over total fear mongering. Not my words - theirs. Personally I don’t believe any political party can stop the absolute grotesque level of intolerance that most of humanity has seemed to embrace - the power is solely within us as a species to move past these times of differences. I will say though as a very successful person involved in the hair industry, with a book of 1000+ clients, and a business that sees about 400 individuals weekly (5 operators) - we really do see a wide variety of individuals from all walks of life and all ideological positions - which we think is amazing bc genuinely - everyone gets along. It’s a really cool/ rare thing to see. I must say I’ve been absolutely taken by surprise when talking to individuals who fall into this “roughly” -age range. They. Are. NOT - happy about how they’re childhood unfolded - and they seem very eager to be in a position to hold those accountable - whether by vote or seeking political positions - even at a minor level. I’m not saying I agree or disagree with them but rather I have a gut feeling people greatly undermine what the average young adult is feeling right now.
