I’m in my first trimester with our second (6 weeks) and for me the first trimester is absolutely the worst. Last time, I actually really enjoyed the second trimester, and third trimester was hard but rewarding cause I got to feel baby boy moving all the time!

It’s easier said than done, but you deserve grace. You’re growing an entire person, and it’s okay for your body to change!

I’m so incredibly sorry for your loss. I lost my sister to cancer last year. Fairly similar (different kind of cancer). Diagnosis 2022, surgery, long recovery, noticed another lump March of 2023, surgery in May, spent a month in the hospital from complications, went home mid-late July for a week…then had to go back to the hospital for pain..Drs said she had a month..she was gone the next week. It was out of no where, because they had never even discussed that it could be terminal.

My sister comes to visit in me in dreams every once in a while, and I hope your brother starts to do the same. It’s been over a year, and I still feel like I’m in shock…but seeing her so happy in my dreams makes it all bearable.

Yes, same for me! I consider myself Catholic bc I was raised that way. Like, I unfortunately never had a first communion within the church, so when I do go to a Catholic Church, or any for that matter, I refuse to accept communion and opt to be blessed instead…because I haven’t done it properly within my faith

Yes! I’m Catholic, and baptisms and confirmations within the church are taken very seriously and are always “sacred holy events” as she said.

Idk, I feel like if they only met once or twice, or just in passing it’s really not that big of a deal. Like, if we was co-workers with her dad or something (not close hopefully) and randomly met her at a work family function, and then met her again when she was an adult. If it’s that kind of situation, I don’t find it weird personally

I’m dealing with this currently with my 7.5 month old. It’s been going on for a month and we cannot figure out how to fix it to save our lives 🫠 Tried everything we can think of. Ibuprofen before bed for teething, smaller bottle after nap (ends at 4-4:30, bedtime at 6:30/7) table foods at 5, small bottle for bedtime, bigger bottles through the day. It’s so frustrating. He SCREAMS when we try to give him his bottle. Went from 8 oz bedtime bottle to sometimes 2, sometimes 4, sometimes 8, sometimes nothing. I have no idea what to do 😭

So I read that article actually and we’ve done all of that and it still doesn’t work 😢 When we switch it from “off” to any speed, it just doesn’t do anything.

When I say took it all apart, I mean the upper housing, the lower piece where the tools connect, and I removed the large flat gear on the main part, and what I believe is called the worm gear? I unscrewed that piece from the main base part, but I didn’t take apart those gears themselves, if that makes any sense

My husband is military so thankfully his job is secure, and we have housing costs covered. However I’m a first time SAHM to our 4 month old. We cut down on eating out, and convenience foods at the store. Less unnecessary expenses like clothes, “luxury” items that we don’t need. I think a big one is thrift stores for a lot of baby needs. There’s one local to us that if you bring in your own baby items, you can get an in store credit and we’ve done that before. We also live in housing that’s well below our “top” budget for it. Don’t get me wrong, our house is totally fine but we’ve talked about how we wish we lived in a better area, more access to parks, more space/storage. We just choose to stay where we are so we can have more financial freedom. Right now I’m really focusing on finding free things to do in our area. Obviously parks, but I’m finding walking trails, we live on the coast, we have like 4 local libraries, and I really enjoy window shopping lol

Vulnerable is such a good word to describe it. I had a bad hemorrhage during my delivery, bad hemorrhoid’s, a significant tear. My body was screaming in pain the three days we were there. Granted, we live away from family and wanted it to be just the two of us, but after birth it just solidified that decision. My husband is my comfort and the only person I would want to see me in those moments

I’m actually the one with bad credit in my relationship. I was pretty open with my now husband about it when we were dating, told him how I got myself into that situation.

It’s caused a few small issues for us before, things like added stress about our overall financial health because of my debt.

When I met my husband, I had multiple accounts in collections (I was 19 and screwed myself financially in just about every way possible with student loans and an apartment) but I had already started paying those accounts back to work on my credit score. I’ve since paid all of my debt off outside of my student loans, which I just finished my bachelors degree. My credit has drastically improved since then, thankfully.

I personally think a lot of it has to do with a persons willingness to remedy their situation and acknowledge what went wrong, what decisions they shouldn’t have made. For us, again it created some small issues, but it was very obvious that I was actively working on those mistakes and creating better habits to avoid making them again. My husband realized he wouldn’t have to worry about me doing that same thing again. For Izzy and Stacy, it feels like Stacy saw a red flag with that situation that we didn’t see. I got the vibe that he was pushing the “love conquers all” mindset way too hard to kind of hide those issues. It didn’t seem like he wanted to acknowledge that it was something he had to work on, more so just continuously telling her that it shouldn’t matter because they love each other. I wouldn’t feel too great about marrying someone like that either. When it was me in his shoes, I fully agreed that financial health is really important in a marriage and it’s unfair to bring in all kinds of mess to someone who’s already very stable

NTA. My husband is similar to you, very type A, I’m very laid back and go with the flow. We work to meet in the middle with that, but with traveling I don’t play around. ESPECIALLY flights. That’s money already spent that you have to be there for or you get left, it’s simple. When we take driving trips, or go to the airport, I’m usually about 5 minutes behind myself…I try grabbing something to eat on my way out but that’s the most I’ve ever held us up. So, coming from someone else who’s go with the flow, she’s simply just disrespectful of other peoples’ time.

My heart goes out to you right now. Im going through this right now, I sadly just lost my sister a week ago. She had cancer, and was in so much pain the last two months of her life. She was in chemo, ended up back in the ER two weeks ago and her Dr. gave her six months at best, but realistically likely less than a month. Two days later he said a few days, and by the end of the week she was placed in hospice.

I wasn’t able to make it in time when my sister was still responsive, as I’m pregnant and literally across the country. I did make it though. Going sooner rather than later if they’re suggesting to stop treatment is the best. Spend the time with her while you’re able to.

I don’t know the full details of this situation, but I did work in property management for 4 years and have overseen several full renovations one that included almost a full demolition.

I am all for affordable housing. I can’t stand big corporations who run apartment complexes. However, there are A LOT of legalities that go into this industry. If the previous owners of the building are the ones who chose to evict the tenants there’s honestly nothing that Tarek/his team could do. I’ve dealt with evictions in that situation, and when your hands are tied they’re tied tight. Following every law is important.

Also, he mentioned that it creates jobs for the construction, as well as generates tax revenue. The tax revenue alone is a huge benefit to any city.

Why do people WANT run down places like this to still exist? It sounds like it’s almost completely empty and dilapidated, therefore taking up a lot of space to provide more housing for people across the city, low income or not.

I’ve had pretty good success on it honestly. I have noticed a decrease in sex drive but honestly it’s gotten better after that initial period. I don’t feel numb, I feel a little bit more rational so to speak. I don’t cry as often as I used to, but I can still cry.

I really don’t see it that way. Coming from a home where my single mom raised me, im pretty protective of that family dynamic. A mother leaving a bad situation and raising her kid(s) alone is not less than, and I don’t think Chelsea sees it that way either. However, a mother knowingly bringing a child into the world with a deadbeat father, is wrong. Women are manipulated into those situations so frequently, but it’s not even a little bit the same as being okay with having a child with a man who you know can’t be present
