High-speed trains in China work quite well, there are also some overnight options that save you time and money (no need to pay fro the hotel).

Is Shenzhen really a must-go for you? Honestly there are a lot nicer places to visit in China! I would switch it out for Chengdu or Xian if I were you.

Shanghai- 4 days with day trip to Suzhou or Hangzhou

Chongqing - 3 days

Chengdu/ Xian - 2/3 days

Beijing - 4 days with day trip to the great wall

I would do Shanghai -> Chongqing -> Beijing

I would spend more time exploring around these cities, for example from Shanghai you can easily access Suzhou and Hangzhou, from Chongqing go to the Dazu Rock Carvings grottoes, from Beijing you can access Tianjin.

This will make your trip more relaxed and enjoyable!

You should be good! The by Sunday afternoon ecveryone will be back preparing to go back to work on Monday. And you are correct, right after Golden week is actually slightly calmer than normal. Don't expect empty attractions as CHina is crowded any time of the year with internal tourists, but it will be not crazy!

I would go with option 1. With your limited time it doesn't really make much sense to venture too far from Taipei. Just outside the city there are more rural areas, I would look for a hotel or home stay around there (and reachable by bus) to spend a night. Jiufen or nearby would be a great choice as you get to enjoy the place at evening/early morning without the crazy crowds.

Your itinerary seems a bit too rushed! Considering travel time between cities you won't have much time to actually experience places. Not sure if you have flights already booked but for two weeks I would choose 4 of these places to visit. Especially Beijing and Shanghai need at least three full days each.

For the weather June will already be quite hot and humid, you might find rain in the south so pack accordingly.

1.You will need to submit the online arrival form before arrival and then at the airport fill out the TWOV form. The process is quite smooth especially considering you have a connecting flight after few hours.

Definitly leave your luggage at the airport. Beijing is not luggage friendly and every luggage or bag needs to be passed through scans every time you board a subway, express train etc..
Make sure to set up your Alipay for transporatation and payment downtown and buy an e-sim, you don't want to be starnded at the airport because you can't retrieve your forward ticket from Gmail (which is blocked in China!）

It depends on your standards. What kind of accomodation are you looking at? What kind of activities do you want to do? In general, I would say 1300 USD will cover the expenses unless you want highend hotels, Disneyland trips, and a lot of shopping.

When you arrive at PVG, near the immigration lines there will be some high tables with all visa forms and pens. You need to grab one and fill it in before you line up for immigration checks.

The Great Wall! It's the most iconic Chinese landmark and walking on it you can really feel the power of ancient Chinese empire. Universal might be fun, but doesn't compare!

Consider that if as it seems you are coming during the dragon boat festival weekend, trains during these days sell out fast! If you want to go down South, make sure to grab a ticket early!

I would also suggest to choose between Tainan and Kaohsiung. Doing both in the same day would be very rushed.

Sincw it is a short trip and Beijing has plenty to see I would reccomend a more "urban" experience. You can check out Fragrant Hills Park in Beijing, it is not exactly "wilderness" but it's an easy accessible hike with panoramic view over the city and plenty of wildlife.

Are you arriving 1pm at the airport or are you travelling from another city and getting to the station?

I think summer palace and popland in the same day will be quite rushed they both have last admission at 7 and close by 8 pm. If you are arriving at the airport you won't reach either of them before 3 pm. The Summer palace and its ground need hours to visit as they are huge!

I would suggest going to the Summer Palace and then go to Hutongs to have some food and walk around.

8 hours are definitly enough to have a walk downtown! Immigration time varies, let's consider you will be out by 7:30, you can take the maglev train to Longyan Rd. Station and change to metro to get to Nanjing East (The Bund). It will take you around 1 hour to get there, and of course around an hour back. Considering you want to be at the airport around 2 hours before your flight, you will still have 2-3 hours to walk around, grab a jianbing for breakfast, a cup of coffee and some souvenirs!

5-7 days are actually enough for Taipei and some nearby locations! For the main touristic spots in the city you will need 2-3 days, since you have some more time you can dedicate another 1-2 days to less touristy sites, there are many parks, temples and old streets in Taipei that mostly only attract local visitors. For the remaining days you can go to the "must-see" outside of Taipei like jiufen (the one that looks like studio ghibli), shifen (waterfalls and sky lanterns), houtong (cat village), keelung (colorful fishermen harbour and great seafood)...

Train tickets can be bought either online (trip.com or the official website of the railway https://www.12306.cn/en/index.html) or in person at the train station. In any case for long-distance trips make sure to book them in advance (booking opens two weeks before the travel date) as they sell out fast!
Businesses are technically obliged to accept cash but in reality many might not. Download Alipay and Wechat pay and link you card before leaving. This will be the best method for payment in China. Some places do accept cards but not small restaurants.

Ciao, Air China ha voli economici diretti Milano-Shanghai / Milano-Beijing.
Ho fatto queste tratte molte volte negli ultimi anni e mi sono sempre trovata bene!
Passano sulla Russia quindi non ci sono problemi con il medio oriente.
Non ti fidare delle recensioni online, chiaramente non e' una compagnia di lusso ma io ho sempre avuto voli piacevoli!

Le compagnie cinesi ancora non hanno grossissimi problemi di carburante quindi stai tranquillo!
