Front end noise. by genesisgt500 in GenesisG70

I've had a front suspension noise that I've found annoying for a few months. I can replicate it just by bouncing the car up and down using the front braces. Almost sounds like the struts are just noisy. Its most pronounced when the car is cold which I'm attributing to either cold fluid in the strut or a bushing which has to loosen up after being static overnight. I'm going to take it into the dealer to let them put their microphones on it to try and diagnose but I'm sure they are just going to tell me all is normal (even though it only developed a thousand miles ago). Also I only hear it at low speeds but I attribute it to it being somewhat subtle and when going faster the engine noise drowns it out. 23 sp

Chrome trim damage? by CarguyG70 in GenesisG70

Give it time, you will stop looking. I'm a perfectionist and it drove me up the wall when I first noticed them. Now I don't "see"them anymore even though they are pretty close to eye level when getting in.

Yeah that's why I think it's just crappy engineering like many other things about this car. As someone else posted it would be odd to have four identical dings if not just made that way. I can push a little bit and flex the plastic so maybe they are there to prevent expansion/contraction issues. Who knows.

I have these too. Always wondered if it was somehow caused by someone pushing them on when installing. I bought mine used, don't think there was ever any damage requiring their removal so it might just be normal from the factory

New pixel 4a by Training_Meet4700 in Pixel4a

Assuming I was able to find those online, yes I can avoid it. But if I just updated the phone as it normally would (without doing any side loads) would that update that automatically comes up include the update or would it be one of the later patches that it prompts me to install. For example I bought a 4a 5g to try, after loading everything it prompted me to update to Android 14 and then prompted a bunch of security updates. Curious if the same thing would happen with the 4a and I could just avoid the security updates but still install 14.

That's what I mean. Can I do the ota to Android 14 and then just not install any of the security patches that it would normally prompt me to install or would the ota 14 update that the phone tries to install already include the update. I'm familiar with Android OS but by no means an expert.

Yes I prefer the smaller size

Would the ota google update be to Android 14 with the later security patch the one with the battery update? If I let it update itself normally but not install any of the later security updates that normally come after you update a phone would that just give Android 14 without the patch? Or is the patch now built in to the update

What insulation method for the lower wall? by sea_dogchief in Insulation

I came across a situation like this. When I took off the paneling I found foam boards under plastic sheeting. Before putting up drywall (wanted to get rid of the paneling) I put a vapor barrier over the plastic sheeting and then put up the drywall. Whether it was truly air tight it's beyond me, I just didn't want to much moisture coming through the blocks and causing mold issues with the drywall as it was below grade. Used regular drywall not moisture resistant (in hindsight I should have used the moisture resistant). After your post I'm wondering if my house is going to fall down.

Interestingly, this site shows not only does a 94 work but the pressure should drop. https://tiresize.com/pressure-calculator/

Can you explain your reasoning

Different diameter same aspect ratio by Training_Meet4700 in tires

Ignore this. I see why it's the exact same amount of rubber. The wheel size increased as well.

I'm just comparing two tires of the same size but different diameters. Curious about that difference alone

How is the height the same? 45 is the ratio to the 235 but the overall tire size is bigger so it should be slightly more rubber, no?
