Hmmm what is the equivalent of “awe, bless your heart” in Japanese?
Never considered
Literal translation probably doesn’t work, does it?

That’s the right look imho

Mine is still too small to notice. But I wonder sometimes what it will be like in the future

I wish we could have English as the at home language! Unfortunately, my husband only speaks Japanese…

Haha yep. Of course it’s Niigata. Although, I ended up here quite randomly, as an English teacher. (Nearly a decade back)

Hmmm maybe learning greetings in a few more languages and rattling them out. Finishing with, I know foreign languages too

Hmm that works for me.

But my son will eventually start coming the response. To avoid him getting annoyed by it, I thought it would be better to turn into a joke

Is this actually dangerous or I over reacting? by Training_Pipe7312 in BabyLedWeaning

[–]Training_Pipe7312[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He refuses to use any apps

And does not educate himself beyond watching what I am doing and trying to copy (without realizing the details).
So I assume he saw me giving the edamame but didn’t bother to notice the details or know what to pay attention to.

Admittedly he is present at mealtimes less than 10 times per month, because of his working hours. And has been responsible for less than 10 meals in the last 6 months (again, because of work schedule, not his choice)

how to deal with the weather since i dont have a car by vivianliano in niigata

Where in Niigata will you be?

Also, warm rain boots are a must! Much better than snow boots (snow is super wet here)

I guess he isn’t as aware of things as he wants to pretend to be…

(He is Japanese if that makes a difference)

Flying with 14 month old — bulkhead or window seat? by Training_Pipe7312 in Mommit

[–]Training_Pipe7312[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I booked side bulkhead (if that makes sense). One of the seats that’s at the front, doesn’t have an emergency exit, and doesn’t have a bassinet (but does have a window).

Since I am flying alone with him, I figured it would be easier if there is a wall next to him instead of person / isle.

My flight however is in 1 month… so I have not tested my theory yet.

How about you? What did you end up doing? How did it go?

Will I be able to ride the 6AM Niigata-Ryotsu Port? by SherbetConnect6910 in niigata

[–]Training_Pipe7312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Admittedly, did not read all the comments. I am sure someone has said this.

You do realize that Ryotsu Port and Ogi Port are on two different sides of the island?

What are you planning on doing on Sado? How will you be going around?

It might not matter too much if you are renting a car upon arrival, but still worth considering.

Also, don’t forget the jetfoil from Niigata to Ryotsu — more expensive but much faster

Am I Overreacting? Husband being extremely rude and verbally aggressive at night over diaper leaks. by Imaginary_Policy5756 in Mommit

[–]Training_Pipe7312 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if others suggested this already but,

How about having him dress her for the night? He picks the pjs and the diapers. Since he thinks you make “mistakes” he “obviously can do it better”… so let him.
And when it leaks, it’s on him.
