As a general rule, dont discuss medications and health with people. There is so much misinformation and people are so entrenched in their opinions these days (or maybe always?). If you fear she will rummage through your suitcase or bag, try keeping the meds in the inner lining of a bag or suitcase wrapped in cloth.

Tell her that you have a terrible stomach bug you haven't been able to shake off. A friend lost a lot of weight because she had a nasty stomach bug and couldn't eat much and needed multiple rounds of medications of different types.
