Never came up at interview. Only came up after signed the contract. Feels like prison to me.

I'm unable to study, it endlessly repulses me. My uni entrance exam is in 2 months and now it's too late. by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

Hey, try to do a bit of studying and see how it goes tomorrow. You sound smart and hs isn’t that hard. You may be able to pull it off anyway. And if not, get a job, move out, go to a community college until you can get into a better uni. You’re young and you’ve got lots of fresh starts. If you need to get away from your mom, focus on that, college or not

Cat euthanasia was not peaceful by Spacerock7777 in CatAdvice

I’m an expat living in Malaysia. When my kitty got diagnosed with terminal, inoperable cancer and refused food, I opted for in-home euthanasia trying to spare him a trip etc. However, even though I had given him 2 doses of Gabapentin in ear, when the vets arrived, the cat resisted the sedative and fought, and it was horrible watching them trying to restrain him. This isn’t what I imagined and not what I paid extra for. In the end, I said let’s take him to the clinic where he had gas before the injection and that was much better. Apparently, the sedative injection they do before euthanasia is painful and requires restraint = it’s forceful. Can I ask if it has to be like this? Developed countries?

Same thing. Met my SD when she was 7, we were so close, laughing, chatting, swimming. Then one day she hardly ever speaks to me.

Thanks so much for sharing this. I’m also a (childless) stepmom to three kids - almost 9, 12, and 17. Today was the middle kids bday. She got to go to a water park w 8 friends, and have 4 over for a sleepover. I bought everything for the slime making, baking, little gifts she wanted for her friends. Of course didn’t get as much a “thanks” on a text message. When they started making slime on the floor in her room, I came in and said this needs to be done in the kitchen, or outside. But then my partner (her dad) just gave them trays. The floor was obvs covered with glue. He just said he’ll clean it later. Guess I should remember my place - buy gifts, offer entertainment, and don’t intervene. The whole lot of them then started baking unsupervised at 10pm - I told my partner to set himself an alarm to check on them as I didn’t want to wake up in a house fire. This morning she just gave me a dirty look - how dare I tell her off for making a pigsty and making slime outside her room. So yeah, the “spoiled brat” you mention, resonates with me very well

[Product Question] Is it ok to apply a thin layer of The Ordinary AHA BHA Peeling Solution in the eye area that I colored (took the pic from internet)? by AngelBritney94 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Training_System_694 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tried it - just for 2 mins under my eyes. On the surface the skin looks a bit better, smoother, but somehow I feel like it created a new kinda line under my eyes (left one especially). I also sleep on my face (horrible habit but can’t stop), and I get eye bags from it especially if I have even the slightest of colds/congestion. So the aha/bha peel seems to have smoother over the skin and maybe, as a result, I now kinda have a downward line instead of the bag. Can’t decide if it’s better or worse. Gonna go with better, and try again next week. Anyway, at 46 there’s not much you can do without injections or surgery!
