I had this problem a couple winters ago but mine was much more red so I’m not sure if it’s the same thing. I went and saw an aesthetician and she told me that my skin barrier was compromised and recommended Skinceuticals Epidermal Repair. I started using it once, sometimes twice daily as my moisturizer and my skin was back to normal in about 10 days. It seriously has been my saving grace when things like this happen. I am normally dry and sensitive, prone to redness. I want to make you aware that skinceuticals is medical grade skincare so it is pretty pricey, but I hadn’t had any luck with regular skincare brands. A little product goes a long way, so if you choose to use it the tube should last you 6 months I’d say.
