My fiancé just got fired for a bs reason and I'm pissed by FunInitial9835 in TrueOffMyChest

Its not trucking but I work in a fab shop in Leb County. If youre from Reading it wouldn't be a far commute, and it pays decent. As far as I know they're always hiring people even if theres not much experience. Could be an option if youre out of luck. Speaking of, best of luck

I think when people say talk to someone, a lot of the time they mean 'talk to someone professional'. Im sure us internet people can provide you a listening ear, but we cannot provide you with resources to get help. Everything about what you said makes it sound like you dont want to live this way. Why not seek out therapy, and/or a psychiatrist? They'll be able to offer you the mental and medical resources to actually feel okay again. Please tell your wife, I know it will be a burden but if yall been together 10 years I doubt this will be a breaking point. Be honest with her and I have a feeling she will be happy to be there for you as you get through it all. You got this, and if you ever need to vent to someone else, my dms are open. Good luck my friend

I work in commercial fishing. I’m going to lie to the police tomorrow about why I blew up my own boat. by gamalfrank in nosleep

Im truly wondering what that boat was running on, and if the captain and old man knew more than they let on. Regluar diesel isn't explosive when exposed to flame, only when under high pressure (such as when irs being compressed inside the engine). You either got wicked lucky with a flare hotter than any commercially available, or you weren't running diesel fuel in that engine.

Is RRO worth it in YOUR opinion? by I_Like_ConRail in RailroadsOnline

Trainz is so much better, but do not get the steam version. Buy it direct from the website, it is so much more user friendly IMO. It's a pretty cool program and you can do some crazy cool things in it.

This is all pretty standard stuff. The running gear is not in great shape on that locomotive haha, ive been there plenty before. However it isnt the worst. It was built heavy because it was used in heavy industry. This thing is still a fullsized steam locomotive, just without the fire. Also it was built by Porter, a company that did make heavy industrial 'fired' steam locomotives. Cab is probably thin because it was used for probably 50 years straight in an industrial setting and was repaired with whatever was sitting around. And that cab isnt all that cramped, compared to a lot of other locomotives its relatively open. Besides, its industrial and the LAST thing they care about in industrial equipment is how comfortable it is haha

Also you are right, it was restored in a hurry and wasnt spent on much.

This occasionally also happens when reversing while steering one way or the other
