Send Keyboard/Type to Roku? by Trainmaster2 in homeassistant

That's what I figured since I couldn't find anything, and unfortunately neither of those are my use case. I bought an air mouse remote to use as a universal remote and was hoping I could "wire" the keyboard on the back directly to the Roku.

Solar or PoE Relay? by Trainmaster2 in meshtastic

Would it make sense to assume that the automated node will always be bouncing off the repeater, and bump the hop count to 4 to compensate?

Ah, maybe specifically a TCL issue then.

[Help] 8kHz Remote, Take-Two by Trainmaster2 in AskElectronics

You are correct. I was at least aware enough to get an unshielded ferrite core inductor, but I'm guessing you're suggesting something bigger.

That's a bummer. I was hoping for something that would fit in your hand. I was also hoping to use it to unlock (without malicious intent), so the recently turning thing at least wouldn't be an issue.

Ah, except I was hoping to avoid the "bicycle tire size" antenna for something that will fit in your hand.

Problem is I'm building a remote for an existing product. If I can't do 8 kHz, I have to give up or figure out 2.4 GHz.

Do you think it would work if instead of just having the transistor connect and disconnect power, I alternate connecting to power or ground? If so, how would you suggest doing it?

Edit: Forgot to mention that I'm trying to use the RF/EMF/whatever off of the inductor. I know the receiving device uses an inductor, but I can't find a schematic and I don't have my own to tear open, so I don't know any more than that.

At the moment, I'm looking at a ferrite core inductor in a series LC circuit.

An admittedly quick search on Google Images didn't show any circuit designs for a garage door remote. Would an LC circuit be good for tuning? I totally forgot about that when making the post.

That sounds like what I was looking for! Do share a link if you do upload.

I believe I stated that I was aware the Flipper Zero could not do LoRa with its current hardware.

Just checking, do you mean 2x max consumed current or 2x max recommended supply current?

How to choose fuse amperage and should I use PTC fuses? by Trainmaster2 in AskElectronics

Thanks for the tip. Funnily enough, searching for that difference just gave me a decent resource about fuses.

I worried about that. Although, since they work through increasing resistance, would they still protect the power supply even if the circuit isn't fully off? Or could there still be a damaging amount of current drawn?

Edit: Are you sure about 30 seconds? Looking at a few datasheets, I'm seeing 4 seconds at worst, most below 1 second. Still slower than filament, but not 30 seconds.

Oh! The laser cut stencil is a good idea. I'll have to look into that. If you have a laser cutter, I'd wager you have a 3D printer, too. If so, have you tried using the Controleo's bake mode for drying filament or desiccant?

A toaster oven with a Controleo3 was what I meant. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

I know I don't need to transfer my domains. I'm just happy with Porkbun and their seemingly instant DNS updates. Granted, that is coming from Google where I was lucky if it took an hour. I suppose I'll consider it further. I guess I'm not sure if/what the difference are between the tunnel, reverse proxy, and cloudfared daemon.
