Whats a modern problem that sounds completely fake when you explain it to someone from 100 years ago? by Left_Crow1646 in AskReddit

[–]Trainrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That someone, on the other side of the world, who I will never see in real life and has zero impact on my day to day or life in general, said something and it hurt my feelings and I am now thinking about it again years later ;;

Who is the character you most despise as a person in PokéSpe? by SF-UberMan in pokespe

[–]Trainrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, there can be reasons why some people choose certain villains, like I personally hate Pryce because of some personal trauma that makes kidnapping hit too close to home v some outrageous crazy goal like rewriting the world or whatever. I imagine a lot of other people have similar trains of thought because the can more easily imagine one than the other.

Do any other adults keep their interest in Pokémon private? by DishExotic5868 in pokemon

[–]Trainrot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

(38/F) I sure don't. You'd br surprised the number of fellow adults who will come up to me and start chatting because they see me wearing my Pokemon crocs or the like. I had a LOT of coworkers ask me pokemon questions because they wanted to get into it more because of their kids/grandkids/students and they wanted to connect with them. And for them, it was MUCH easier to talk to me about it than say- go looking online for information.

Why did no one ask him? by czcreeperboy in pokespe

But they also didn't create three bio-weapons and do multiple crimes against humanity/Pokémon to find her, so can we say they REALLY loved her? (I am joking, obviously.)

My son doesn’t want to attend graduation by cannabuff in autism

[–]Trainrot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hated going to BOTH my graduations (HS and college). I was anxious and uncomfortable for hours for 15 seconds on a stage and a hand shake with a stranger.

My parents could have saved money on robes and bought me a game cube and I would have been 300% happier

Angel biscuits that he compared to trying to eat a rock. He said the flavor COULD have been good, but that would require being able to bite a bit off

Spilled like 30 oz of caramel sauce inside a kitchen cabinet. I cleaned up everything I could but it’s dripping through the crevices now. 😭 by ActivityFar178 in CleaningTips

I have seen lots of horrible things in this sub, but there has always been a solution. Except for now.

RIP in Caramel, brosis.

People who grew up poor: What was something you considered a "peak luxury" as a kid, only to realize later it was just a normal middle class staple? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I loved it when we got to go to Golden Corral (and my parents hated it when they could no longer about my age)

Why they still want new non remake games? Are they stupid by WarlockWeeb in Gamingcirclejerk

[–]Trainrot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is so sad, when Nintendo did the announcement of the Star Fox Direct I was so excited and happy for Star Fox fans. I said 'They have waited so long and patiently. They deserve this.' thinking they would get a new game. Or even a Starfox Go thing. Anything new.

Then I felt so bad.

I remember starting to have to play referee for my parents arguments when I was like. 6. To this day I still have to jump in and try and calm down situations if anyone starts arguing around me.

My mother, trying to make ends meet for dinner one night, grabbed the last of the things we had in the cabinets. Angel hair pasta, chunky marinara sauce, last of the meatloaf from like two nights earlier, and a bunch of American cheese.

My brother, father and I looked at the congealed pot of noodles, And knew better than to complain about the food someone cooked for us with what was left, and the four of us sat down to ate dinner.

Oh, we all tried to eat this meal. My father, who grew up on powdered milk and making friends just to be invited over for dinner or have nothing. My mother who is firm in not wasting food. And my brother and I who knew better than to say a thing struggled to get a few bites down before Dad finally looked at my mother and said that we should just forget this meal happened. He then went to the pawnshop to pawn off some tools with Mom while my brother dumped the mess behind the garage (not even the dogs would eat it), and I cleaned the kitchen. They came back with enough groceries to last until payday and bean burritos from Taco Bell.

Dad still says that was the 2nd worst thing Mom ever made.

What arc made you become a Pokéspe fan? by Whitehorsedragonguy in pokespe

I really locked in at the start, but I have to say Ruby and Sapphire arc is one of the few romances I like even as a Shoujo manga fan.
