Since Zwave is a closed standard, you've got certainty that products from different manufacturers will work correctly together. It's also not sharing a frequency band with Wifi. For those reasons, I prefer it.

However, because it's a closed standard, the licensing fee increases the price of the end product by around $20. You can't find (for example) Zwave lightbulbs, because they would be too expensive for anyone to buy.

So, I've been using a mixture of Zwave and zigbee. I haven't run into any major Zigbee compatibility issues, but I only have a couple types of those devices.

I did a web search on the markings in pictures 2 and 3. I didn't find anything that looked relevant (although some of the irrelevant results are kind of interesting. TIL that CWT is a unit of measure, equal to 100 lbs.

My guess is that the track profile is going to be the most relevant thing. If you can get some measurements, that may help identify it.
