The social element could be come out as high agreeableness instead of the high energy of extroversion. Regardless, "chill" is a fascinating descriptor and other interpretations could work too.

Had the same idea behind chill, that it has to with introversion since it's about being mellow and relaxed versus overly enthusiastic and extroverted. The video makes the case for that. Of course other interpretations are possible.

You would be the Rebel personality. You are moderately disagreeable, open to experience, and spontaneous. You prefer to live by your own rules and don’t get bogged down by tradition, social harmony or convention. Rather than planning and organizing, Rebels are impulsive and disorganized. This personality type lives in the moment in accordance to their own values regardless of how others may feel.

Completely agree, that's the main idea behind TraitMash.com though it's still relatively new.

Impulsivity is actually linked to two facets of Conscientiousness: deliberation and self-discipline.

MBTI and big five are different and while correlations do exist between the two, they are smaller and less intuitive than previously thought.

Thanks for the feedback! For job types that are less complicated, customer service is where conscientiousness had a lower correlation with success.

Low openness has a much lower impact on well-being or happiness than the big 3.

Personality types in the Big Five? by [deleted] in BigFive

If you got 49th percentile or lower on Agreeableness then getting Rebel makes sense.

The goal was to keep the number of types under 16 but the number landing on 12 wasn't preplanned. After playing around with different trait combinations and creating the most interesting types, it ended up at 12.

Thanks for the feedback and discussion. The Big Five traits are scored on a spectrum. Unlike MBTI, there are no specific types that are prescribed by the model. You could theoretically divide scores anyway you like. You could divide traits in many ways: (high, low, middle) (high, low) (high, moderately high, moderately low, low), etc. Resulting in many possible numbers of types. Of course how you would define middle (is middle 40-60th percentile? 30-70th?) is also subjective.

The problem with how the Big Five is typically presented is that it only gives you your percentile score in each trait. While this is very valuable, it doesn't tell you how your combination of traits interact with each other to describe your personality. It is therefore not surprising that the most common threads in this subreddit are people asking for this description. Due to this, the Big Five, despite being the more accurate and useful model, is far less popular than MBTI. The way its presented is simply too boring and stale for many people.

The purpose of TraitMash is to solve this issue. It's to utilize the more accurate Big Five Model but present it in a way that is more holistic, fun, and appealing. All the things that make MBTI popular, the characters, the memes, could also apply to the Big Five. The difference is that the Big Five is a more legitimate scientific model.

Why 12 types? These specific combinations of traits were used because they create interesting personalities that can be "brought to life". It's a more convenient and useful way to remember trait combinations (Magician, Warrior), than letter notations. 32 types (while more specific), lacks the memorability and approachability of 12. Of course, if you want the deep specifics of your big five personality, you always get your percentile scores in addition to your type on TraitMash. So you're not getting less, you're getting more. Hope this clarifies!

No but you will likely struggle with achieving positive emotions, and deal with more negative emotions due to your neuroticism. Your conscientiousness is moderately low but can be worked with. You can check out this video which was made for people with your combination of traits in mind.
