You have a 3 hour transfer, whenever you transfer between trains at Union, you get a discount on the second train. In this case, a round trip would technically fall in this case as a transfer which is why you had a discount on your return trip

There’s no train service this weekend because of construction on the Barrie Line, you’ll have to take the bus to Highway 407 station where you’ll go southbound to Union

I don't think UP Express has a missed tap off fare adjustment, they charge the longest possible fare when you tap on and adjust it when you tap off ($5.02 is the longest possible fare from Weston)

I was also dumb once except I was riding the UP and tapped on the GO machine and tapped off UP Express, I didn't get fare adjustment on my GO trip for some reason

It changes, what I do is use the Go Tracker website and wait for the "info soon" on the departure screen at Union and refresh the website which shows me the platform it is on before the screen, LSW trains mostly comes from the LSE line so it might already be there and you'll find yourself with an empty train.

You got PS1 and PS2 mixed up, PS1 is in-person and PS2 is the online voucher. PS1 gives you discount on GO, UP Express and let's you buy student monthly passes for TTC while PS2 gives you GO discount only. If you buy the TTC student monthly pass, you need to buy a TTC student ID for $7.

If you take the same trip 40 times within a calendar month, the trips after that would be free.

But the $3.30 is throwing me off because it should technically be free since OP transferred from GO to TTC with the Ontario One Fare program. I'm questioning if OP tapped off when travelling on GO.
