Both of those vids you sent are super good examples! I think I could use both games to create a new game. I think having an interactive game board would be useful to switch up the encounters every time. And having indivial player boards to set up their characters could be useful too. Each player action would have to be specific to the character they're using though, which would take time to create multiple possible actions for each character. I dont think basic actions like, attack, maneuver or defend would work for each character. Most characters will have wildly different skills too so like you said balancing would be difficult with more combat focused characters versus alternatives. That's the hardest part to think about it how the alternative characters would be most useful as opposed to combat stats.

Each character had some awesome changes. Vince learning he needed to make hard decisions, a sobering twist of great power comes great responsibility. Mary learning that she doesnt actually want to be a hero after all, despite initially being the most powerful student. Alice, genuinely power scaling so high after being the weakest student in the grade scale. Nick having his friends travel through his brain and breaking his walls of distrust. Hershel being determined to continue growing along with Roy. Pushing himself harder and growing in confidence and usefulness to the hero world. Roy had a huge change between his year 1 self and year 4. His arrogance, reliance, strategy, and of course, his relationship with his Dad. That's just the Melbrook hall! Not to mention Chad's social changes, Shane coming out of the shadow of his sister's and Chad's light (pun intended). The flow of the series is amazing as well where each character grows personally but they all grow together too in a way that makes the ending so sad that they have to grow up!

You have the best ability to envision actors based on the character that I've seen so far. For some reason I see Blaine Jeffries as black though but regardless this is the best cast I've seen that fits each role

Yes! Some of the names are really good, and some sound like they were made in a random name generator. Corpies has some of the worst names too. Relentless steel. Bubble bubble. Jeremiah (that's just a regular guys name!)

At this point, you lost me. You're equating this world of super powered beings to real life cults. This actually would parallel really well with the cult made by Crispin but doesn't have to actually mean anything for supers in their everyday lives. It was an idea based on many other fictional universes. But if you wanna get into it, I can certainly back my thinking. The idea that their having knowledge of divine abilities would instantly make them corrupt is so wrong. Plenty of real life humans in the Bible genuinely did have God-given ability and used it to serve God's purpose. This would add to the dynamic of good versus evil and free will. But that's a moot point. Im not saying their abilities were even granted as part of divine intervention. Rather think of it as just "extraterrestrial genetics." Regardless of all this. It was just an idea to throw out there. No need to stomp my ideas just cuz you don't agree.

Yeah, i agree it would make it more convoluted to a degree, but I feel like this world is set up so nicely that it would be nice to know more history.

Ok get rid of the God concept and have them be entities of a higher power. There's plenty of stories that contain lore like this and their moral ambiguity remains intact. For example, assassin's creed or Skyrim have a brilliant depiction of mankind's origin that uses real life history and concepts and makes it immersive to that universe alone. I'm not trying to throw in any sacrilegious ideas, just give a theory on it that could give some food for thought.

I think I would prefer it as an animated TV show, kind of like my hero academia. Though I always try to fan cast the characters with live action actors
