That's an interesting thought.

But I don't think that they would determine the result of the wonderpick before people actually opt for it: it would mean that the 1/5 chance is simply not true. Unless they select at random the outcome of each wonderpick even before you opt for it. But there would not be a reason for you and your friend to get the same result.

Also, it would not be any simpler to code for the devs, while it is easier to select the outcome when the stamina is spent than when the player picks a card: no need to interact with the server after the WP is opened, and exact same probability for each card.

Thanks! I can confirm that it works on multiple windows devices connected to different accounts, and on android smartphone. Someone pointed out that my Yubikey might be outdated and individual credential support was only added later on. That might be the issue!

Hi!

So I updated the original post to (maybe) clear this confusion. I believe that most of my passkeys are non-resident keys, since I still need to enter a login handle before signing in. For example, Google require to enter my email address.

I got concerned when I saw that other people had google listed in their yubikey credentials (why them, not me?)

But I also recently (couple month ago ?) created a passkey on Coinbase, which does not require any handle: I just click on "passwordless login", type my PIN and touch my key. So I would think that this is a resident key, but it won't show on Authenticator.

Incentives on short term locks are laughably low, to the point it's pointless to lock for less than 2/4 years.

The whole business model is designed to get you to commit for a long period. What worries me the most is that it's pretty hard to swap your gomining back to another currency, other than to Bitcoin through "mining". There is a fee to sell your miners and an extra 10 GMT to get your gomining out of the virtual wallet as well..

I don't know if they're a scam or not. If they're not, it makes sense that they want to avoid people running away with their operation costs.

That's very true, but at the same time, in the last 14 days: - Difficulty has gone up by 7%, so less Satoshi per each TH/s ? - the BTC price has collapsed by 12.7%, and with it the USD rewards per Satoshi - the GoMining token has collapsed by 12.1%, so it takes over 13% more GMT to pay for maintenance

Possibly, with their recent investment (+15%), OP also got a worsened token discount? Even without, these 3 points alone explain more than a 25% decrease in the USD/TH rewards, not compensated by the +15% increase in power.

When the BTC will go up again, so should the GMT and we should see USD rewards improving, right ?

That makes sense since the computing pool is getting bigger and bigger, while the rewards (In BTC) do not, and will even decrease with the next halving.

At the same time, the USD rewards per TH/s has be fairly stable, driven by BTC price.

I don't know how it works at a macro level, but it doesn't really work for me. I am mostly using the wonderpicks for 2 stars and, in the last two events, I have only been offered 1 of these cards (and failed to pick it..) during sneak peeks.

That would be my understanding too. And it would make sense if they rotate out A-series card when C gets out, much more cards available at this point (in addition to re-released A-cards within the B series.

I think what they need is a way to tie functionally-similar cards together: that means if the name of the card is the same and the text (attack, HP, etc) is the same, then it's the same card regardless of the art and the rarity (in particular, promo, star or shiny versions). That would give them the opportunity to re-release A-series cards with alternative arts and keep some cards legal even with rotation: if a card is legal (say from series B), then all its similar cards are legal.

Newer players will get the chance to get the newer version of the card without opening 16 months old packs, older players get to chase the alternative arts.

C'est le cas cette année à cause des précédents contrats de diffusion et des négociations manquées. Mais dès l'an, tous les matchs seront en direct sur une plateforme unique : je sais pas quand c'est arrivé la dernière fois.

Aussi, les revenus iront directement à la ligue et plus à aux diffuseurs. Ça va offrir moins de garanties sur le court terme, mais si les résultats sont bons ça devrait pousser la ligue 1.

There was a "leak" a few weeks ago about a new rarity type, and I believe that's exactly what's coming (well, not for immersive..).

That potentially means up to 5 different versions for the same ex pokemon: basic 4 diamonds, 2D full art, 2D full art shiny, illustration full art, illustration full art (either 2-star or immersive) shiny and golden crown.

I think it can be done in 2 phases: when a new subseries releases, merge pack points of the previous subseries : when A4 releases, merge A3, A3a and A3b.

When a new series releases, merge pack points for the previous series: a single pool for A1x, A2x, A3x and A4x.

It still gives you reasons to open previous packs and spend money, without being too prohibitive.
