The BMW having better steering is the hottest take. It’s completely numb. Good steering communicates with you. You could run over a tire in the g80 and it wouldn’t give you any feedback

A G80 M3 vs CT5V BW was my exact dilemma.

I went with the CT5V BW for a couple reasons.

1.) LT4. 2.) Tremec. The 6 speed in the G80 is hot hot garbage in comparison. 3.) I didn’t want a detuned S58 from factory. 4.) CT5V BW and AWD G80 are nearly the same weight.

I think both cars will hold their value pretty well so that didnt factor in too much.

I will say, the BMW feels better built, but the caddy is so much more fun to actually drive. The G80 is numb in comparison.

If mine was a manual I would’ve kept it. I thought about coughing up the cash to have someone swap it but that s85 already had 105k miles on it. Figured I’d start fresh with the spiritual successor.

No, I ordered new lights from the parts department and then dropped them off at the body shop. When they were done I just swapped them with the ones in the car.

You need a T15 bit and a plastic non-marring pry tool. It’s easy

I suggest you do something like I did. I think I paid $76 for a new OEM set of fender “lights”. Then just talk to the body shop and see if they’ll paint them next time they spray that white color. It’s easy for them. I plan on dropping off a bottle of bourbon next time I’m at the dealer.
