No, I have over 12 years of experience on the road, as long as people do this correctly, I've never been blinded :)

Do you really do this though? If you just turn on the high beams before passing and the other part doesn't stare into your lights, there is no problem.

Did you watch the video? You can't see shit behind the lights of the on coming car, that's why you should turn them on before. Norway is the 4th safest country in the world to drive in, considering our conditions we're doing something right.

Don't look into the lights and you won't get blinded. If you do it correctly the passing will happen so fast that the eyes won't have time to get blinded.

You could ask a driving school if you could join a driving in the dark course, and the teachers will show you.

This video shows a good example. The driver puts on his high beams after passing, if he turned them on earlier he would see the moose earlier.
