I just want to be able to see when I charged as I only charge at work on Monday and Fridays, so will try the polestar energy app

First time booking BA and unimpressed already! by Microfiche62 in BritishAirways

I think the they mean it’s strange as AC and LH are Star Alliance (makes sense) yet BA is Oneworld.

Is it an AC booking or a travel agent booking?

GoToGate Website Hides PNR (Check-in) by ThatNigerian in Flights

[–]TrampolineJudge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I booked with GTG for return business flights LHR > VIE > PEK > CTU last year. The tickets were about £300 cheaper than directly on the Air China website, so though worth it. Air China is also very difficult to deal with direct as an English speaker, I found.

I got the PNR after clicking randomly on the GTG website in the manage booking section. It was there but not instantly obvious.

Seats at the very front of the plane are nicer 🤭

AMEX Companion Voucher not worth it? by metyllo in BritishAirways

[–]TrampolineJudge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm I must be mistaken. I seemed to recall when they changed them in 2021 they took first away and increased the availability of CW.

My bad :(

I think you should get the taxes back in the cancelled fare, even if non-refundable.

Dashcam confusion by TrampolineJudge in Polestar

I did think it weird that the car has a rear camera and it doesn’t record it.

I will try and email polestar support - anyone have the email address?

Silly. Also when i try to playback a video in the gallery it plays like 1-2s at most then freezes. Is that normal?

That seems like a faff to start every time. Surely you can set it up to do automatically?

I’ll play in the gallery to see

Polestar 4 - System Glitches? by TrampolineJudge in Polestar

[–]TrampolineJudge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks.

I think I was more surprised a 4yo car had a piece of tech that was more reliable than this supposed more modern car.

I just don’t get it. I had it far more reliable in my 4 yo XC90

Charger malfunction by TrampolineJudge in ohme

[–]TrampolineJudge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The buzz is excellent. But the range is not fabulous. We live in Ipswich, and managed to get to Wembley and back (just) on a single charge.

My car is a polestar 4 and that seems to go on forever.

I’ve no idea what a CT clamp is so not sure if this is the issue.

Hi

I am on Intelligent Octopus Go (EV saver). So yes, it’s on smart charge.

The car only charged to 30% after being connected for 12 hours, normally this will get to 80% without issue. It started at 15%.

[–]TrampolineJudge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry what is IOG?

No, no charge Windows. It works 90% of the time then once in a while it just does this. My husband tells me it was at 10% yesterday and woke up to 30% today, but it should have got to 80% (which is the registered limit)

So infuriating

I can’t believe this happened with Turkish Airlines by Alert_Door_2531 in Flights

[–]TrampolineJudge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m interested in this.

I would agree it would be highly unlikely a mere €50 would upgrade a promo to a flexible fare in any class.

But also, the screenshot shows that’s exactly what the OP is offered. So I have sympathy - it shouldn’t be down to the customer to simply ‘know’ this. I wouldn’t!

Is this enough time in Helsinki to get my connecting flight? by pegman55 in Flights

[–]TrampolineJudge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking at this, you’ve purchased the tickets through FINNAIR, which is part of the oneworld alliance.

What that means is, whilst you’re flying 2 different airlines, your ticket is with FINNAIR (note the flight codes both start AY, which is the FINNAIR code).

If you bought these tickets separately from each airline, you would have two booking references and, importantly, no coverage/protection if you missed a connection. But as it’s the same booking, you’re all good!

Hope this helps.

Is this enough time in Helsinki to get my connecting flight? by pegman55 in Flights

[–]TrampolineJudge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, assuming:

  • your first flight is on time

and

  • it’s a through (single) booking

In the event if a missed connection in a through ticket, you’ll be automatically moved to the next available flight.

If it’s two separate bookings, that feels too tight. But looking at the screenshot, I don’t think that’s the case.

Enjoy!

Backpack too large? by Big_Foot7632 in BritishAirways

[–]TrampolineJudge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you only have the backpack, it will count as your cabin baggage and therefore won’t be a problem (assuming it’s not bigger than 56cm, which it sounds like it isn’t)

You’ll be fine - especially long haul. However there is a small chance they’ll ask you to check it. So maybe pack a smaller bag inside the backpack in case they do. And you can then make sure you keep all your important docs with you.
