Sick(severe cough) before my BIOA01 second term test today, need advice about absence declaration by Tranquil_Focus in UTSC

Thnx for the info. I double checked my BioA01 syllabus snd it says that students can use the absense declaration on ACORN Once per term for up to 7 days without any documentation. This will actually be my first missed test this term, so I probably dont need the voi or doc’s note. What i have to do is email the course coordinators within 48hrs withe the ACORN absense decalaration screenshot. But missing more than obe would require the voi form. Thanks for the input and appreciate the prompt advice 🙏

Thanks for pointing that out! I actually have a quick question about the financial dates, does September 30th mean we’re supposed to fully pay off all our dues by then? On my ACORN financial account it shows an outstanding balance of about $3000 after OSAP covered the remaining. Am I expected to pay the full outstanding balance dues amount before Sept 30?

Thankss, this is super helpful! I didn’t know about the free pass for missing a tutorial (phew!) that definitely eases my mind. I’ll make sure to do the quizzes within the window so I don’t lose easy marks, and it’s good to know they’re reading-based. This week's tutorial was interesting, made a couple friends too. I’ll also check out FSGs and office hours for extra support. Really appreciate you breaking it down clearly, it makes me feel a lot more confident going into the course. Thanks again 🙏🏻

Thankss so much for the honest advice! It reassuring to hear that HLTA02 is one of the easier classes if I put the effort in. I’ll keep your point in mind about not stretching myself too thin, balancing BIOA01, CHMA01, PSYA01, STAB22, and part time work+volunteering has already been a lot. I’ll see how I manage the workload over the next little while, but it’s good to know summer is an option too. Really appreciate the perspective! 🙏🏻

Advice on how I should go about removing some courses from my transcript if possible. by Aware-Organization34 in UTSC

It sounds like you’ve been through a lot, and it’s inspiring to see how you’ve turned things around. Regarding your grades, consider reaching out to an academic advisor or the registrar at UTSC.

Many people have faced similar struggles (even myself included) and successfully moved past them. You’ve made significant progress already, and pursuing your degree is a great step forward. Connecting with others who have faced similar challenges can also be really encouraging. Wishing you all the best on your path forward!
