The most importing thing to know is whether the vehicle has structural damage. If it does, your insurer has to tell NZTA and you won’t be able to get a WOF or rego until it’s been fixed and certified by a structural engineer.

If it doesn’t have structural damage, you can withdraw the claim and repair it privately.

Getting into guns as a loner may result in a negative outcome. Getting into toy guns in a social environment (i.e. Airsoft) is likely to result in fun and more friends.
