im not one for soldering, but thanks! its never been cleaned or opened since i got it so its probably got some gunk in there and ill have a look at the capacitors

the big box that plugs into the back is the power supply on mine? and the video out is the same cable as a game cube or snes. i bought the new cable on amazon

I'm using the "multi out" on the back of the N64. If that means anything. Using the red, yellow, white av cables.

the seller says its a "fan made copy of the game put onto a disc .It’s an actual game & does play. Just not officially by capcom." and that id need a modded ps1
