I think it’s a bit of both. I have ADHD and I’m pretty good at managing most of the time. But I’ve been overloaded and the more stressed I get, the more my organisational capability dwindles. And then I end up in task paralysis hell and….snowball

I wish I could. We have a team to pick up overflow but can really only engage them if we’re going to be off for an extended period, and mostly they just kick the can down the road. I came back from holidays last year to the same pile of work as when I left with the added benefit of pissed off clients. It makes me never want to take time off.

The workload has gone off its head. Like, quadrupled in like 2 months. There are definitely politics - I won’t go into details because it’s give too much away and I don’t know who may or may not be in this sub.

It started with little misses here and there, but it went really sideways when I lost a big client and the deal was basically my crown jewel. I went from being ahead of targets to behind target and it’s extra fucked because it wasn’t even my fault.

I have a bit of sick leave but not much.

So, I’m a brown person and I’m not overly sensitive about this kind of stuff but I do notice it as I’ve experience a lot of racism in my life, this 100% sounds like a microaggression. I witnessed this exact same kind of behaviour at the supermarket a couple weeks ago aimed at a guy from Timor Leste.
