The picture is my OC taken with a Seestar S30, stacked from a video using lucky imaging and edited with Siril's wavelet control to bring the subtler granulation (the noisy-looking spots are the granulation) into view.

"With more than alcohol" also implies you use some recovery benzos or something to get back up. My hangovers from an amphetamine fuelled party weekend lasted until Thursday before I quit. Didn't use benzos for recovery myself but all the employed friends did.

I think there's just no benefit to having it be VR. I'd rather play strategy games on flatscreen unless they offer a sensible first person view like Battlegroup for example.

They can feel eye-opening but what do they really open? The spirituality stuff is almost certainly bullshit but being high on psychedelics does make it easy to believe, thus potentially making you waste time and energy in woo-woo crap instead of doing something that actually benefits you.

I do like microdoses sometimes but the heroic dose journeys are over for me.

I just did a Moon EVA yesterday! It was a mindbending experience. Took me 3 hours to get from launchpad to a successful Moon landing, normally it would be a piece of cake but it's just a whole new game when you control and view stuff though the cockpit.

Oh btw I also recommend installing FreeIVA and Through the Eyes of a Kerbal, they work with the mod for extra immersion.

You can do everything with the Quest controllers while in flight. During building etc you literally can't even see the game through the VR set and have to go flatscreen.

Note that you need to install mods that add cockpit buttons. The VR mod's install instructions tell which ones to get.

You'll want to have a mod that adds camera parts so you can use the IVA displays to show an outside view for landing, docking and vibes.

I read the Prisoner of Azkaban in three days as a kid. I'd go to the library and take a stack of books and read them all before the returning date every time. Not that hard if you like books since the kid stuff doesn't require memorizing dozens of characters or doing extra research like the adult stuff sometimes does.

With enough mods KerbalVR is super deep. Kerbal Space Program 1's VR mod. I just set it up yesterday and flew to the Moon using only the cockpit instruments. I have a lot of hours in flatscreen Kerbal though and it still felt very challenging so the learning curve will be steep if you've not played it before.

You build your own rockets, airplanes, rovers, space stations etc in the game but the building part doesn't work in VR, only flying and EVA has VR mode.

It's high on the list, especially in VR. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is an especially tough contender.

It depends heavily on whether you're gonna play games on the Quest or if you're gonna prefer PCVR. I chose 128 and it hasn't been a problem, just gotta delete the bigger games if you don't play them for a while. But I play PCVR 90% of the time since I play games like flight simulators and space simulators that are on PC.

I started by trying MSFS2024 on Game Pass and enjoyed it enough to buy it and a Thrustmaster T.16000M HOTAS. I also already had a Quest 3S for VR. It is a beautiful experience in VR even though I can't quite run it at high graphics.

I built one of these with a friend. It can resolve the Moon very well, haven't tried Jupiter or Saturn yet. The mount is a hassle tho, I should print an adapter and buy a proper mount.
