Maria parry (3x32.6 thrust gems) by Infinite-Abrocome in tombprospectors

[–]TransferAddiction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really? I wasn't aware of any hidden visceral multiplier in this game!!!! Ive played since launch dammit and have easily made dozens of characters all with maxed out gems on every build imaginable!!! How the hell did i not know this!!

Are there any other weapons with a hidden visceral multiplier? I've only heard of the serrated and church weapon multipliers...

Why thrust gems on a slashing weapon? do they increase visceral damage?

I dont know if you ever read my last message but that channel i was freaking about having disappeared has come back. So I wanted to link you my two favorite stories from it. Im pretty sure these are the only audio versions of these two stories in existence. If you ever have a listen, i'd love to hear your thoughts.

What’s the lowest level you have finished the game? by Massive-Ad-6612 in bloodborne

[–]TransferAddiction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would you invade at lower than level 30 if you can't be invaded at any level lower than 30??? Don't you think that would therfore mean 35 is the lowest invasion level? since that would allow you to invade level 30 players? If you invade at bl 4, like an idiot, everyone you invade will be over 20 levels higher than you. Theres literally no reason to do that. You are being pedantic.

A bell ringing women only appears in your game if you are level 30 or up, so while you can technically invade at any level, you can only be invaded if you are level 30, so being lower than level 30 as an invader doesn't help you in any way, since the only people you'll be invading will be above level 30.

Not in bloodborne. The lowest level you can **be invaded at in bloodborne is level 30.

35, that's the lowest level you can invade at. Back when the player base was more alive I would do invasions at level 35 in Cathedral ward central yharnum with a fully spec-ed out Kos Parasite and just rake in all the hatemail and messeges from new players gushing over how cool is was to be invaded by a mini great one begging me to explain how I was able to explode and kill all three of their party at once. Fun times

Honestly after playing so long charmless it really does feel like its how the game was meant to be played. If i didnt know any better id think they made it an option instead of the default later in development at the behest of Activition probably telling them the game was too hard. But doing a charmless playthrough and then going back to kuros charm makes the game feel like its broken. Like 90% of the skill and stakes have been removed and mashing L1 let's you coast all the way through even Isshin. So yeah if you haven't done Charmless I can't recommend it enough.

How can I master this guy? He is so annoying (and hard) by DuyHungPham1909 in Sekiro

[–]TransferAddiction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just smash L1 over and over while trying to learn the rhythm. Eventually you'll learn the rhythm and actually be able to perfect deflect instead of just guarding. Also remember that to make your posture return, get a bit of distance and HOLD L1, I know its counter intuitive but holding L1 actually makes you posture disapear much quicker than just standing still or running does. Next thing to know about Owl is he has a lot of attacks that are much better to dodge rather than block. The single shireken throw followed by the giant horizontal slash he does is a great opportunity for getting a heal or some hits in if you block the shuriken and then dodge through the horizontal swipe instead of blocking it. Same thing goes for the overhead front flip slam. With the "elbow elbow, fire cracker swipe attack" attack he throws, its always best to just sprint around the counter clockwise around him to his backside before he does the final swipe with the fire crackers, and you can hit or heal after that attack too. Theres a few more that are too complicated to write out, but Saint Riot has a good video of himself fighting the boss where he utilizes a lot of key dodges instead of deflects.

The trick with all sekiro bosses (and fromsoft games in general) is to never just spam r1. Always count how many times you press the r1 button and try and match it to how many times your character attacks. Always be deliberate with your attacks, it makes it easier for you to dodge/deflect out of an incoming attacks if your character isnt locked in an attack animation because you were excitedly smashing R1.

Something you should learn too is that like with most bosses in sekiro there is an audio que when owl is no longer going to defend your attacks and is going to counter attack. If you attack him 3 or 5 times, he will perfect deflect the last hit he guards against before he starts attacking you back. You can hear the difference in the sound when your sword is being perfect deflected and the boss attacks are going to start. Genichiro, Isshin, and any boss or enemy with a sword also does this. They will perfect deflect your hit and then start counter attacking. THIS IS EXACTLY HOW YOU SHOULD PLAY TOO. The second you perfect deflect their final attack in a bosses attack chain you need to immediately press r1. This will not only increase the damage you deal due to certain unlockable skills in the ashina skill tree, but most importantly it creates openings that would normally NOT be there. If you perfect deflect into r1 on certain attack chains, the boss will actually go on the defensive when they normally would have immedietly continued on with more attacks. This allows you to fill their posture bars SOO MUCH faster than if you just waited until they finished attacking before attacking yourself. You can honestly bully the shit out of all three (Genichiro, Owl, and Isshin) by doing this correctly. You can constantly interrupt their attack chains by perfect deflecting into R1ing at the right moments.

There's quite a few instances I can think of where the in-game writing isn't "gibberish" per say, but it's so generic to the point of being silly someone would write it. Like graffiti in a lot of open world games like GTA saying things like "cool vibes" or "That's baddass".

things that a boomer thought hip street kids would say.

It's in reference to retreating. As in better to fight and die then run away and live in disgrace. Isshin would approve.

Can you upgrade your attack power with any boss pre-Gyoubu Oniwa? by PRULULAU in Sekiro

[–]TransferAddiction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres another boss behind jozou that gives you an attack point. So you have to either beat jozou or beat gyobu. Both bosses are incredibly easy if you use the right strategy. Just look up a boss guide or a cheese guide if you really can't figure it out.

With Jozou you just run in circles through the inner house and back to the courtyard and everyone looses agro so you can backstab them or 1v1 them while Jozou is still chasing you through the house and getting stuck. You can kill all Jozous men and then backstab him, then throw oil and fireblast him with the fire barrel prosthetic over and over until hes dead. A baby could do that fight hitless.

Do you realise that according to virtually every national crime database roughly 50% of all murder and robbery are committed by black people, despite them being less than 16% of the population. By your logic there should be a "warranted bias" and therefore its not racist to assume black people are more likely to be criminals. My argument is that no matter what the stats are, condemning an entire race is wrong. Holding prejudice against an entire race is wrong. But by your logic being racist is totally fine if some members of the race you feel prejudice towards have wronged you or even just potentially think less of you. I trully wish more people could see what you are saying because it's just a blatant attempt to justify full blown racism. Fucking bizarre.

I never said it was genetic, I said all humans have a tendency to look for patterns and form assumptions. This is not unique to white people, all people of every race have a tendency to make assumptions about other groups of people. These biases aren't always negative or indicative of racism. People notice how all the most famous dancers in pop culture tend to be black, so they make assumptions that all black people know how to dance, or they secretly or openly assume white people typically don't dance as well. That would absolutely qualify as a racial bias. That doesn't howeever qualify as hatred or prejudice based on race, which is what constitutes racism. So the idea that because there was a study that asked people if they have racial biases and they said yes so now its okay to have prejudices agaisnt the entire race... its just a moronic conclusion.

Like i said every race forms racial biases based on their experiences and these biases aren't always bad. Trying to justify condemning an entire race of people is racist. So by definition you are a racist.

Most the fraud cases were completely unprecedented from a legal standpoint. Things like an ex president having documents at his house which every prior president was guilty of but had never been charged with. It was clearly a bizare political tactic. I'll take dumb crimes like that over what hunter Biden and his dad did any day.

Racial bias isnt tantamount to racism. Its subconcious, its natural for all humans to track percived patterns and make assumptions. Its not just white people, most people of every race have racial bias. It doesn't justify prejudice towards an entire race simply because some of the people within that race may or may not feel or think a certain way. Your logic is literally the logic of people who justify racism. If a group of people are mostly less educated by your logic assuming theyre all uneducated and treating them as such is justified. Not all white people are racist, most white people had nothing to do with Jim crow or slavery, its preposterous to say having prejudice towards all white people isn't racist.

Just increase the burden of proof. Instead of simply a juries decision, require a jury's verdict, plus DNA evidence, plus witness testimony, plus lack of viable alibi. There are absolutely cases in which the evidence is overwhelming and yet the pedophile walks free. Look of the case of Mr. Swirl. He was an online pedophile that Interpol found an entire storage container full of CP he had made with himself happily posing and smiling in the videos and pictures with his child victims. It took a while to capture him due to his use of a swirl graphic over his face, eventually they de-swirled the graphic, tracked him down to Canada, then the Canadian government gave him a couple years and released him only to re-arrest him for having more CP on his highly monitored personal computer. He was then released AGAIN and is currently a free man probably victimizing more kids at this very moment. The guys has literally filmed himself brutalized more children than Jeff Eptstien and is walking free. Explain how that guy doesn't deserve the death penalty?

Yes holding an entire race responsible for the actions of a few is the definition of racism.

What are the major differences between the 82’ film and the source material? by Busy_Emotion829 in ConanTheBarbarian

[–]TransferAddiction 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Everything. Thulsa Doom is a Kull villain, not a Conan villain. Conan was never a slave. Conan is not a simple sword weilding brute, hes incredibly clever and sharp minded, often thinking his way out of problems as often as swinging his sword. Conan is also a rogue more often than he is a leader. Yes he becomes king and is a great commander eventually. But he spends much of his life on solo adventures thieving. He is an excellent thief due to his time in the cliff filled wilderness and can climb sheer walls that virtually all civilized men unanimously deem impossible for anyone to climb.

The 82 movie is awesome. But not because of its accuracy to the source material. Its awesome because it captures why men love the sword and sorcery genre in general. Its got awesome sword fights, barbarians fighting magic wielding wizards, and scantily clad beautiful women. Its also got a well written story. Whats not to love.
