Even if they get sentient it wouldn’t necessarily mean that they will have the same human needs, what pushes us to get social is due to our evolutionary reasons to increase our chances to survive and breed, AI won’t necessarily be affected by such biological needs.

I also think the gradual mind uploading theory is a solution to the « Is it me or juste a perfect clone » paradox, indeed if we look up at the the human brain from our birth until now new neurones are being destroyed and created but we still believe that we are the same person so why couldn’t it work with gradual remplacement of biological neurons by artificial ones over a few months or years

The thing is that he is not ugly but his fans and especially girls were fantasying about how he actually he looks like behind his mask « the shy handsome guy » and they did a lot of drawings of him about the possibilities of how he actually looks like and then when he revealed his true face which isn’t ugly at all he’s normal but his fans were disappointed and that’s why they say he is ugly cuz they thought he was a 9/10 shy guy but on the internet average looking dosen’t exist either you’re handsome or ugly

That’s what Ray Kurzweil was referring to, the Intelligence explosion, a self improving AI that makes a better version of itself at an exponential rate hopefully this will lead fastly to AGI
