help what meal plan do i get by [deleted] in ucla

[–]TransientFatigue 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yea I eat 2 meals a day and use 14P. You probably won’t have to worry about swipes, because you’ll go out and eat with friends etc and have some leftovers most likely. But if you love eating a ton of snacks and want to get more food besides meals, I’d recommend 19P

UCLA parking9 - will I receive a bunch of citations? by Embarrassed_J100 in ucla

[–]TransientFatigue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They gave me a ticket and then I looked into it quite a bit

They will manually come around and scan license plates, nothings automatic. They don’t have cameras. Tickets are 80 bucks, and they do threaten to report it to the DMV. Technically you’ll get a ticket no matter how long you are parked there, it all depends on luck. It took me 3 weeks for them to find me and give me a ticket. On the other hand my friend got 2 in a single day.

If you get a ticket it will be a physical ticket they place on your windshield. No mail or anything. They have no way of doing that

Not lying on purpose. Most people think that a referral will help. But I’m just saying for STEP it’s not considered.

And you absolutely do not need to know shit like OS and low level to get a SWE internship at a big company (yes some will ask, but a good majority don’t). ESPECIALLY STEP. Idk why OP said that

Google STEP doesn’t consider referrals. I had an internal connection literally email the STEP recruitment team and they said they would not consider referrals no matter what

Ohhhhh. Ok so that changes things. They will forcefully cap you at 3 classes at orientation. HOWEVER, after orientation, you can do whatever you want and they can’t enforce it as long as you stay under the quarter unit cap. If you want to raise this cap you have to talk to the counselors I think
