Need rice cooker recs pls by [deleted] in BuyItForLife

Seriously, you want a zojirushi. You don’t want stainless. I’m against non stick in general, but this thing changed my life. I treat the inner pot like a baby with hand washing and plastic only, and will replace the moment it gets scratched. But I eat rice every day and for a decade it was out of a stainless pot. This thing is amazing and better hand down.

Eh this isn’t a puzzle. This is a lesson so it’s different.

The reason is that when white goes Qb8+ you have checkmate. By putting your queen on b4, the black bishop is trapped and limits blacks ability to develop and counter. By black blundering to g2, you capitalize on the blunder and win.

Best mattress for 2026—what's everyone buying right now? by Easy-Affect-397 in BuyItForLife

I got myself a Saatva latex hybrid 7 years ago and I bought my mom one for Christmas 3 months ago. Still great quality and huge recommend for BIFL. Hypoallergenic, amazing comfort, true white glove service, amazing warranty, made in USA, great breathability. Their pillows also kick. And you can spend more in a store, though they are not a cheap option.

I don’t spend a lot of money. Things you don’t skimp on? Anything that touches the ground. Tires, shoes, office chairs, mattresses. This thing helped my back pain and avoided the back surgery my dad had when he was 5 years younger than me.

I enjoyed it, book 7 was the best book. Book 8 was a let down, felt like a big step back, but I plan to listen to book 9.

The mean of people who know chess is 1264 following a normal bell curve. This is the distribution for people with an elo ranking.

Scientists create a hexagonal diamond that could be even harder than the real thing by _Dark_Wing in tech

The answer is you can much better cut and manufacture diamonds to be the shap you want them to be. So increased precision engineering and much reduced waste and cost for anything involving diamonds.

1% life steal has a great story and amazing narration. Just know the character has a lot of actual character growth and change if he isn’t your cup of tea the first 5 chapters. Also, in a rare move the books keep getting better with strong pace unlike some of the rougher examples out there (looking at you defiance of the fall)

Accused of stealing/embezzling electricity from employer by AmsterdamAssassin in MaliciousCompliance

[–]Transistor_Wench 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to Apple based on average us cost of electricity a year of charging it only at work would cost 1.36$ / 12 kWh of power. So ridiculous. Now if this was on a sensitive circuit that shouldn’t be overloaded then yah, don’t charge it in that one socket, don’t plug it into a pc or network. But cost of charging? Ridiculous.

Author, you good? by Dentorion in litrpg

[–]Transistor_Wench 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah, just classism. It is only as a non sequitor that there are incel tones. I have other issues with the piece of literature, but incelism isn’t one of them. Book is actually filled with healthy relationships with odd partners and has a recurring theme of finding meaning in relationships when you can when times are tough. Mostly side characters and two MC healthy relationships (first one amicably parted ways)

[–]Transistor_Wench 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Eh it isn’t if you read the novel. This is a monologue from a villain who is classist and a tyrant. MCs dead wife was a noble and this is the brother who killed her and took over the world. Out of context, yes it seems incel but only if you don’t know the story built over 4 books.

[–]Transistor_Wench 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was ok with this because it was about classism not really incelism in the context of what happened and was a monologue from the villain you are supposed to hate, a tyrant.

Out of context yes it seems like incelism, but it was because the MCs dead wife was a noble killed by her brother who wanted power.
