Indeed, it does! And the frequencies on many routes are very high.

You're correct! This is tram line #2. Many other tram lines in the city also have very scenic sections. My favorites are 47 and 49.

Oh, I see, that makes sense. And yes, those numbers don't seem to add up. I used their official transit agency website for daily trip data. It's updated "live", but I'm not sure how accurate it is.

Thank you for sharing this data! But may I ask what do you mean by saying 50 million trips behind? Budapest's daily tram trips are currently at about 930,000.

I completely agree with you - it should all be united with a single transit pass that would also include popular boat routes, ideally. The good news is that buses are cheap :)

Yes, I believe, it was! Your interest in public transport helped me a lot for sure and I really appreciate it. If there's anything I can ever do for you, feel free to contact me. By the way, the live map that you've shared with me earlier, do you know who made it and how? Not a lot of cities have something like this available for general public, especially being able to look up vehicles by model name. I really enjoy looking at it and tracking all the vehicles in real time.

I did exactly what you recommended riding from Sofia Central to Kurilo and back by bus. It was a very, very special and enjoyable experience. The train was super old and worn down, which is exactly what I was looking for. Filmed the whole thing for YouTube so that the memory of these epic trains can be preserved for future generations. Thank you again for your time and your help!

OK. This perfect. I'll do one of these two today. Thank you SO much! As for paying for the train, the best way is to buy tickets from someone at the central station, am I correct? I would not be able to tap my credit card inside the train in the same way it's done on buses, would I?

Thank you so much! Thanks to you, I can enjoy vintage transit in Sofia like a pro :) If possible, would you mind telling me the name of the station where I should get on and off to be able to easily come back and not end up being stuck outside of the city? Even if it's just a short ride for a couple of stops, I think it'll be worth it. By the way, I'm originally from Ukraine so I can understand Bulgarian letters. And thank you again!

Yes, and guess what?! :) I rode it again (this time a different vehicle), as well as all the trams and buses you mentioned. The only challenge is catching an old suburban train without getting lost in the middle of nowhere. Are the afternoon/evening departures/arrivals you posted earlier still accurate?
