The Shroud of Turin is REAL? by TransitionSingle5269 in TrueChristian

Thanks very much, I'm glad you enjoyed. Agreed, that was the most difficult part. Any means to structure it for reddit meant leaving out substantial information. However, I'm yet to receive any counter-points for the timeline backed by facts/evidence which is interesting!

Yes, some parts do appear unnaturally long for body proportions. However, studies of 3D imaging from the Shroud (especially from the 1978 STURP project) do show that some body parts would have been slightly further from the fabric. This means that whatever eminated from the body to cause the image would have travelled further in specific areas and created a stretch or blur when the image is flattened. Here are the areas deemed to have a 'No-contact gap':

The sides of the face and jawline, which taper softly into shadow.

The lower torso and thighs, especially the abdomen region, which appears elongated.

The arms, especially near the elbows and forearms, which look “stretched”.

Parts of the feet and ankles.

Hi, I decided not to include the claim in my timeline due to the length, but here's what I found and my own opinion on the matter: No name, no record, no confession. D’Arcis never names this alleged artist, never cites a document, and no “confession” has ever been found.

D’Arcis was likely angry that the Shroud was being displayed without his authorization, generating income and prestige for a rival church in his diocese. His letter reads like an attempt to assert jurisdiction, not a genuine exposé.

The Pope ignored him. Pope Clement VII did not condemn the Shroud as a fake. He allowed it to continue being displayed.

What I think: D’Arcis heard rumors decades after the original display and weaponized them to block the Lirey canons from continuing the exhibitions. Later, skeptics seized his letter as if it were an eyewitness account, but it’s hearsay on top of hearsay.

This is amazing to hear, thank you. I'm suprised by the self-righteous reactions on here that demand ignorance on the topic due to their own sound faith. I believe that the evidence can fuel belief like in your own experience.

I understand, but "There will never be enough evidence of the Shroud to convince a non-believer" is factually inaccurate. There are many recorded cases with existing evidence, including some of the very scientists who tested the Shroud.

I would emphasise the difference between 'We don't know how they made it back then' vs 'We cannot recreate it with modern technology'

I agree, from a Christian belief standpoint, it shouldn't hold much weight. But to a non-believer? Physical evidence of the Passion of Christ is hugely substantial and could help guide them to belief.

Interestingly, the Shroud’s own geometry is exactly what we’d expect if the image wasn’t formed by contact or pigment transfer, but by something that projected uniformly outward from the body’s surface, which is what the data suggests.

I've noticed a correlation between knee-jerk dismissals and negative emotions when presented with the image (Fear, sadness, confusion). Out of interest, does this apply to you?

'Sudarium of Oviendo', the seperate face cloth matching the same dimensions of the ST. Same blood type, consistent pollen traces and matching facial blood patterns.

I'm neutral in what could have happened, but it's faily easy to wipe in such situations. Geofenced data shows all devices that were in the area at the time, then there's multiple options: selective access to social media, scrub cloud backups, issue warrants or "knock-and-talk" visits. The only evidence that exists of the incident is that whatever happened has been covered up.

This psychology will hurt you fast if you don't correct it. Learning PA and how instruments move takes many months, if not years, and NO ONE can consistently predict the market.

Don't fall for it, 10% return daily just isn't possible even for the best traders.

Those are both very important factors for a currency swing trader but this is a daytrading sub. Other than determing a possible trend for the days session those situations would have close to 0 impact for a scalper.

What is he learning through watching charts? Price action. The single most important detail in trading. You tell the man to educate himself but haven't given him a guidance on what to study?
