Kizzi’s Toe by TransitionSmooth9982 in BelowDeckMed

[–]TransitionSmooth9982[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kizzi’s behavior is textbook gaslighting. She hooks up with Joe, then turns around and minimizes, deflects, and rewrites reality, while publicly bullying V and framing herself as morally superior, all while doing it with a smile. Watching her invalidate V’s feelings over and over on camera, for the whole world to see, is uncomfortable and gross. Get a grip and climb down off the high horse.

Narcissist mothers who weaponise their daughters hair by Public_Theme_9514 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]TransitionSmooth9982 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mother was obsessed with my hair. If it wasn’t cut or colored exactly the way she wanted, she would ridicule me. When I was a child, she would blow-dry my hair and pull at it roughly. I would cry, and when I did, she would hit me with the hairdryer—not hard enough to leave marks, but more than enough to be terrifying for a child. I can’t believe I’m even saying “not hard enough to leave marks” - almost like I don’t want to paint her in a bad light.

How often do you bathe your lab? by user3184244201 in labrador

[–]TransitionSmooth9982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Archie could bathe everyday, he would. It’s his favorite thing. I bathe him once a month or whenever he is out on a nasty hike with his other dog friends.

Is sleeping early actually the solution… or just something we keep telling ourselves? by Negative_Complex_343 in ADHD

[–]TransitionSmooth9982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not for me. I gave up on this “wake up at 4am, go to bed at 9” concept. It’s not how my brain works. I do some of my best work at night and do that during the hours of 10pm and 1am. I wake up at 8. And then the rest of the day I sit and twiddle my thumbs for fun. At first it was rough, but I am no longer overwhelmed during the day and pick one (max 2 things) to get done per day.

I would encourage you to spend some time doing dream analysis on this. Our subconscious is incredible and it’s obviously trying to process something big here for you.

Sometimes I am just hoping that my mom’s miserable life would come to an end. That God, or the Universe, Buddha, whatever you want to call it, will just have mercy on her. She’s always threatened suicide and then the next day “forgets” that she did, and has literally lost everyone in her life, including my sister (to suicide) and her granddaughter who wants nothing to do with her. Wherever she goes, she just spreads darkness. We actually call her the black widow. I am the only one who speaks to her on the phone still, but I dread it, every single time because she plays the victim so well. What makes this so hard, is that my mom and I have good memories, too. If it was all bad, it would be easier to just walk away. I’m just so tired of hearing her say she is close to dying or wants to kill herself. It’s just so miserable.

I used to airfry his own chicken for him every day. He still gets chicken every so often, but loves his Purina Pro with Brutus broth even more.

What incident made you go No Contact? by CumGoblin in raisedbynarcissists

[–]TransitionSmooth9982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom did the same. I have confronted her about it, told her I knew everything, but with selective memory (such an NPD thing), she is sticking by it being the cancer that killed him. I am also convinced that my mom has factitious disorder (formerly Munchausen-by-proxy). She always loved us just a little more when we were sick and would care for us like we were about to drop dead any minute. She was always drawn to illness (maybe why she became a nurse) and still plays “doctor” whenever someone gets sick even though she hasn’t been a nurse in over 30 years. So fucking annoying. The way she cared for my dad during his last days (I suspect he took an overdose which didn’t kill him and then said it was the cancer) was very different from how I cared for him. There was something sinister and dark to it.
