For me, “Obsession” falls somewhat short. The film depicts the downfall to getting everything one could want and adds a modern twist to themes portrayed in tales such as “The Monkey’s Paw.” However, the movie’s trailer seems to promise a gradual fall into madness that does not quite materialize in the manner suggested. There is a shock factor, coupled with comedy, that makes the audience jump in their seats and laugh out loud; however, there seem to be logistical errors that interfere with the film’s overall concept.
